OK people don't freak out about the tape its supposed to be DIY style. I just realized I had never shown that method on the channel ever. mostly because it sucks and you shouldn't do it but I get it. for your homebrew players its easier so I wanted to show it and I picked this video because no one will see it lol... Who is going to fix a buick lesabre cluster that's like fixing an s10 cluster just go to the junkyard and get one for $20 lol jk.

Yes but the mileage is off on a junk yard cluster so then the person or shop has to contact a local mobile programmer. Thanks for the light bulb removal idea. Ed D

@@Ed70Nova427 which is a great argument in states that do inspections but they don't here in Florida so it's almost impossible to convince people when the price to repair their cluster is 1/10th the value of the car.

That looks like an 03 to 05 Lesabre cluster. The pre 02s are still air core style motors. Very informative video sir!

Thanks for the information I updated the description. the used car lot said it was 99 park ave when I grabbed but I knew for sure it was lesabre when I walked past the car since it said lesabre on the car but had no clue the exact year of it. I think I did call it a park ave in the video because being told that was what it was. I think the park ave had the same cluster but with a different inlay on it.

Do you know what the part number for the steppers in a 2009-12 Ford Flex cluster is? I looked all over, including on the steppers themselves, and I couldn't find a part number for the steppers on that particular cluster. I ended up just buying another complete cluster and swapping over the speedo stepper from one to the other, but I'd like to get some new ones on there if and when another one fails. Thanks in advance.

I went to my junkyard and grabbed a cluster that had an rpm meter to replace mine that looks like this one. After installing the rpm meter doesn’t seem to work, I went back and looked at multiple different clusters(with rpm meters)… They all looked the exact same, completely fine. With the buick lesabre, if you don’t have an rpm meter and want to install/replace a cluster that does… do you know if you need the wire harness that connects to the gauge info/trip/trip reset buttons?
