All depends on gearing honeslty. But that clutch is cheap and easy so it shouldn't be a huge deal.

I love this idea. I am gearing up to cast an adapter out of aluminum to mate my opposed twin experimental aircraft engine to a flywheel and clutch for a MGB transmission and then to a driveshaft and rear for a replica 1928 Morgan RIP GN special hillclimb racer. I may do it your way. I wil be video-ing it either way.

You should cut some pipe that fits your bolts and weld them to your motor plate instead of all of them nuts. Looks good man can’t wait to see move great ideas

To mark out the wood/ plate, put it flat on the bench and stand the gearbox on it, it is easyer and you can mark all round in one shot.😀 .

What I have done in the past was used some transparent perspex to make the template for the adapter plate. A child could mark it out even

Way to heavy.... And once you got up in the RPMS it wouldn't come down very fast if at all. The velocity of a 10+lbs flywheel would eat the engine.

..or go buy a semi-knackered Suzuki Vitara & cut off the bits you don't fancy. It was all trés Gucci till the nuts & bolts thing - but strikes one (this one anyway) as all a bit "Let's re-invent the wheel, only more rubbisher..." meh.. each to their own. I'd just go buy a tired Honda quad & get the "I must have 4wd!" thing out of my system that way - but then I don't have a lathe... which might be a blessing tbh..
