Good Tutorial, Many thanks. 2:06:00. I prefer to handle the page load event and assign the current values of the categories to the state Categories_Selected. I also prefer to use one value (number) for the tier instead of having three boolianse and I also pass the value to the state Tier_Selected during the page load event. Instead of modifying the user data type.

Man this is just exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much! God bless! Just one question - can you disable any trace or mark left on the website which says its build by Bubble? I know such no-code sites like to leave a mark advertising themselves on your websites you do with them... Could you shed a light on how can this be removed and whether it could be removed?... Last but not least a VERY important question - how many bubble workload units / month did your website have, i.e. which plan is it advisable to pick in order not to struggle price-wise? From what Im hearing many people retreat from Bubble, so are job board websites still profitable to be made with Bubble?

Hi Sanzhar, this feature is quite straightforward to add, but it would involve allowing recruiters to register for accounts and giving them their own portal. You would have a "Delete" button associated with each job post that would delete the post when clicked. I didn't have time to cover this during the video, but it's very achievable with Bubble.

Thank you! I'm more familiar with Bubble - that was the main reason to be honest! However, it is much easier to add additional functionality in bubble (eg user profiles, number of job slots) than in webflow/airtable. The upside of webflow/airtable is that it's better from an SEO perspective - a key perspective when running a job board.

Thanks Shaaqib! You can build all the functionality required with a free account, but will need to upgrade to a paid plan if you want to activate the app outside of test mode

Agreed, it is annoying setting the margins/padding on every element. Thankfully bubble have released an update since this video was released that lets you apply the same style to each group 🙂

Will recruiters get email notification and resumes once candidate applies for a particular job on the job board? When a candidate applies for a job, does the application process happen on Modern Job Board or on the client website/job page. What about scalability of the app?

Applications take place on the clients website/job page - the Modern Job Template is designed to redirect traffic to the client site. Because the application does not take place on Modern Job Board, there is no notification email for recruiters. However, it's certainly possible to customise the template to accept applications (that's what I did when I was running my job board) 😀

If that doesn't appeal to you I suggest looking at niceboard.co or smartjobboard.com - they're job board builders that have some more advanced features. Hope that helps 🙂

This is a masterpiece by all accounts. However, the challenge I foresee is to market the job board. How do you get clients to start using this job board for posting their job Ads?

Thanks for the kind words Jimmy! You're absolutely right - the tech side is only a small part of running a job board business. Marketing and sales is the bigger challenge! Traditionally, the biggest sources of traffic to a job board are likely going to be your email list and SEO. Of course it will take a long time for either of these channels to generate meaningful traffic, so getting over the cold start problem is not easy. The market I chose (accounting jobs in Ireland) was too small and too competitive. I'd recommend choosing a niche that hasn't been completely linkedin-ified if at all possible.
