I love the plant caddy Kevin! I know you're not too concerned about the details when it comes with the woodworking, but I would highly recommend using some sort of clamp for this kind of thing. I have been thinking of getting into woodworking (with power tools) for a couple of months now and have devoured many many videos on KZbin so far. Now I am actually ready to take the plunge, I find this to be a perfect beginner project - I will use my circular saw for the first time, buy wood and other stuff from home depot, and actually build something in what seems to be a very short time. Maybe I will inaugurate my sander just for the heck of it. I expect to learn a lot even from this simple exercise, which will give me confidence to do more. Thank you!

This is completely unrelated to this video (sorry!), but I have been searching your vids for the answer to this and haven’t found it yet! Do the cattle trough style beds where you grow stuff outside have bottoms or did you remove the bottoms? If they have bottoms, how many holes did you drill to get enough drainage, and how big were those holes? I have an old cattle trough I want to turn into a bed, and I am trying to figure it out! I live at a lake which is basically nothing but rock, sand, and clay around it (TERRIBLE SOIL-either it runs through your fingers like beach sand, compacts like play dough, or is solid rock!), so I am going raised beds all the way. Thanks so much-I LOVE your channel! Seriously, you have inspired someone who has killed every potted plant he ever bought to become someone who is determined to grow some fantastic gardens!

fleurde_lily thanks for the answer! I live in Tokyo. I never heard of Home Depot here but we have Shimachu Homes. I guess there must be some places that cuts for free but I don’t know them. Anyway it’s not very expensive at all, so it was more of a joke because of the sentencing 😂 If anyone living in Tokyo reads this, where do you usually go? My hubby has a car, so we can go outside of Tokyo too. Usually we go at Shimachu in Nakano, they take like 50y per cut ic I remember well, which is the cheapest I know of...

This video inspired me! I got a grow bag/raised bed and realized that it would probably kill the grass in the apartment where I'm staying. It's 24 in in diameter and would have also been difficult to move when full. I went to the depot and found a round 24-in table top in the lumber section for about $8, and screwed some casters onto it and also created a way to attach some twine so that I can just pull it along. I also waterproofed it with a waterproof spray and it looks great. Also, maybe you have this on your channel somewhere but where can I get those nice grow bags in colors like red and orange that I see in your videos?
