Build a large Dog House , DIY Woodworking .

I built a large Dog House ( kennel ) I used left over fence palings on the exterior of the build , it has a pallet made floor base .

Thanks , length = approx 1000mm . Width = 800mm . Height to the Apex - 950mm. Door entry = 500h X 500h X330w mm... for larger dog (500hmm) add extra 100hmm height. The frame was 42X42mm pine , plywood=5mm thick , 150X10mm fence pailings (exterior).. 1 inch framing clouts to nail pailings onto frame. long hex head screws as seen in video. Tools = drop saw would be great , if not a simple hand saw with 90° 45° guide will do. large square , jig saw , hammer , clouts , Note...this does no include sub floor measurement. @@allantse9245 Hey again ! it's the same treated fence pailings from Bunnings that I ripped down ( I can't recall what width). as it can be any width you desire to cut . The upright end corners are treated offcut bearers from packs ,,, I simply cut then down the guts as seen 6:08 , if you ask politely a team member (Bunnings) may give you (2) for free,,,,, from their bin ?

Hi .... I use the jigsaw 1:35 and slot the blade in-between the (2) holes ......the power saw blade was on the blunt side , actually I was more comfortable using a sharp hand saw ! ....the framing size were pine off /cuts that we throw in the bin , 42mm X 42mm. .... cheers Wally !

I believe I marked the face centre @ 400mm , from there I measured 950 mm to achieve my apex height @ a pitch of 40º ..... I traced the (2) end rafters to suit along the flyboard brace/template (s) ...front & rear 2:25 ....the middle rafter (s) were traced with the back rafter (s) 5:52 .... I didn't have a set length,,, simply winging it as I went along,,,, hope this info helps...

The frame was 42X42mm pine , plywood=5mm thick , 150X10mm fence pailings (exterior).. 1 inch framing clouts to nail pailings onto frame. long hex head screws as seen in video. Tools = drop saw would be great , if not a simple hand saw with 90° 45° guide will do. large square , jig saw , hammer , clouts , Note...this does no include sub floor measurement. The Dog house itself (project) was a gift to a friend , I have no plans , other than building (improvising) as I went along . I hope this helps cheers , Wally
