This tables as DB structures, and the phrase "this is your backend" hit right home! I'm pretty sure that's how Coda wants you to organize stuff since this is the actual structure that's happening behind the scenes! Thank you! ❤

This is very interesting, how do I get started and understand what Coda is and how it works? I would love to build my own Project Management App.

Looks great. Can this stripe project template be connected with your previous tasks stripe template?
@thecodaguy Жыл бұрын
Sure! Not by default , youd need to connect them yourself, but no reason you shouldnt be able to merge them and establish the connections Reach out if you need any help!

nice setup. got a lot of inspiration for me. how can we handle dependencies. (task to task).

Great! Thank you! ...08:50 project row doesn't show as a 'row' but as another character :/.... I literately followed all the process two times (clean a re-do) - do you know why might be the reason? also I'm not sure if is better to do a lookup, and if that's okay (no negative impact)
@sergiomendoza9464 Жыл бұрын
found the solution! My problem was the lookup column where I was trying to take the values from, was allowing multiples selections ---- This corrected let me then have the 'row' value..... Recommend this video from Coda about Formula Language --> kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2PImIOeoMqbgMU

How to reference data from another table in another page??
@FeedbackEntertainment Жыл бұрын
thanks for the vid. But not really seeing why so many tables. Im a notion user and we can do this in one table which seems easier. I really try to use Coda but seems backwards. Also the Sub Task are dropped down under the Parent Task.
@SalimMalibari_Comments4 ай бұрын
Yeah, it can be all be in 1 table.. but notion use select and multiselect as different type of value while coda uses table as primary value for any type of text/page which is more flexible to be honest

Dude, please make more videos, I have a semi complex project for the average user. I am sure you can solve the problem. Happy to discuss further if you want to take this on and offer an incentive :)

I dont think that this is useable in any real project management sense. What it would need for that, is a DB Tasks lists with 100+ Tasks, that each can be put into many projects. Basically standardized task 1, that all my projects have and i have to be able to track the changing progress of task 1 in every project. As far as i understand it, this would not be possible with the example we see here, right?
@thecodaguy Жыл бұрын
You'd have to make some slight modifications to the template shown in the video, but yeah thats absolutely possible! Just finished building one exactly like that for a client last week. Let me know if you need any pointers!
