I made mine about a year ago and was really looking forward to having it. Assembly went fine, but i guess i went wrong somewhere or had a bad component. Either way, the darned thing wont give me anything! I am looking forward to your series so i can troubleshoot this thing. I have another kit now, but don't want to build it until i have identified the mistake first. Thanks, Bill!

Good rig. Replace the speaker with one with a smaller magnet. That huge magnet on speaker. It is too strong.when I went to a. Domed .02 watt I got 6 more stations here in Centerville Tennessee USA. Good rig om. Got so I'm carrying every where. Sgt Williams (ret) 73

I used the collector of V1 to inject the noise source and signal generator.

Never could get this radio to work. My solder and assembly skills are ok as I used to work in a tv repair shop so I have some experience.

Why did you never adjust the yellow IF transformer. I assembled the same receiver and tuned it without a signal generator, and only one frequency of a known radio station is needed. This is a job for really very basic knowledge of radios that can be mastered as early as 9 years of age for children.
