What did you use to label all of your units in the rack?? (The white tables like IEM1)

Label maker from Target it was like $20

Best bang for buck is an X32 core or rack with a S16/S32 stagebox. Along with as many xvive U4 IEM packs as you need. We all use our phones to tweak our own mixes

Only issue is with the XVIVE can have dropouts after 4 of them. As well as have distance issues if there is a lot of Wi-Fi or cellular devices

@@jamsscott yup totally agree we have wired packs as backups as the S32 snake can manage 16 outs.

@@VictorGaleskas yes they are mono and initially I thought that a disadvantage, but as a drummer I actually found a stereo field quite disorientating and often flicked our wired boxes to mono. As for range generally we've not suffered too many issues. We are on 4 wireless packs without issue. Yes they do dropout from time to time but it's incredibly brief and sounds more like digital fuzz than a complete loss of audio. Bear in mind we are also running a wireless router on 5ghz a Shure mic on 2ghz and another Shure mic on 5ghz. So we are pretty crowded as a band. I really did think it would be a total fail, but all the gear has been surprisingly reliable.

What do you think about drums on the iem? i seem to not find the right mixer for our iem because none have enough inputs for all the drum mics

I run drums in our IEM now with the same mixer!

I've used a Midas M18 and recently upgraded to a Midas M32c/DL32 rig. The latter expands to 16 physical outs and 40 total busses (including FX & Matrix busses) as well as 32 physical inputs. The other big reason I upgraded was for the extensive delays available on every channel/output. Very helpful for phase aligning the FOH, or time aligning a snare mic to overhead mics.

Nice rack, although I would have recessed the splitter and the I/O box to make more room for those XLR's to stay connected.

I made my own right angled XLRs now! At the time the case did fit it just fine and they stayed plugged in. But now I have everything connected in a 12u rack case

How many instruments are you running into 1 quad cortex?

Three! Two Guitars and a Bass. If I wanted to I could send the vocal through or another instrument as well. The great thing about this is everything is midi’d as well for tuning and guitars tone switches

You lost me at mono mixes. Having gone stereo there is no way I could go back to mono IEM mixes. In fact for members like the drummer, it would be very cheap and easy to go wired for a stereo IEM mix.
