Build autonomous SQL databases in Microsoft Fabric

Correct me if I'm wrong on any of these points but: 1) the Fabric "flavor" of SQL isn't feature complete compared to Azure SQL. 2) Rading parquet files , while faster than CSV, is still slower than having your data stored directly in your Azure SQL database. 3) ETL and/or data transformation is needed regardless

I don’t get shortcut vs adf.. whats the difference . I know if you want to do medallion is best for adf. But don’t understand shortcuts

So the SQL we talking about here is one in Azure not the on prem SQL Server ?

That is the analytics endpoint which is over delta. The SQL DB endpoint is a full SQL database (backed by mdf / ldf files)

The Fabric vision is incoherent. Replication to parquet duplicates data.

Not really. Parquet is not useful for OLTP. This is not much different then ETL a database to fabric, but now its automated.
