Correct me if I'm wrong on any of these points but: 1) the Fabric "flavor" of SQL isn't feature complete compared to Azure SQL. 2) Rading parquet files , while faster than CSV, is still slower than having your data stored directly in your Azure SQL database. 3) ETL and/or data transformation is needed regardless

That is the analytics endpoint which is over delta. The SQL DB endpoint is a full SQL database (backed by mdf / ldf files)

Not really. Parquet is not useful for OLTP. This is not much different then ETL a database to fabric, but now its automated.
