I think "Alice in Wonderland" would be a good choice for you can go multiple different direction. You can go old/ cartoon style, new/ Real life style, Alice, the Cat, Mad Hatter, the Tea Party, The Queen of Hearts, her court where the roses are being painted, The Forest, Giant mushrooms, etc!
