That in cab sound when you lift the throttle makes you smile everytime you hear it Turbo flutter going from left to right and back again, not sure you'd hear it on video though for others to enjoy

I get 16-17/100km general driving, not much load with my stock 1FZ-FE, on 33 A/T’s, using 98 fuel, fusion plugs, regular upper cylinder lubricant.. I’ve had it as low as 14-15 just following a service (new plugs etc) but I regard those figures as an anomaly.. still, I reckon sub 16 is possible..

Amazed you haven’t broken axle studs I had a BJ73 I LS swapped and must have sheared 3 sets and chewed up one centre, that’s a cool build 🤙🏼

Awsome build, how reliable are these engines for 4x4? Compared to the 100series 2uz? 🤙
@taylorlivingston59633 жыл бұрын
I've owned both and from my experience very similar, the 2UZ in my personal experience are slightly more robust but the LS is easier to work with and typically a good bit cheaper making them more popular for swaps amongst the tuner community.

I would think that the torque curve would be much flatter from 2500 rpm with twin turbos and 3” exhaust?
@BoostGumps3 жыл бұрын
Quite a bit of the spike at the start will be torque multiplication from the converter. Then the small turbos start to choke a little bit higher in RPM so drops off
@datdom343 жыл бұрын
You're hair is a lot shorter since the first build up though max lol

The fuel mileage,is it 20 L/100 km on the cruise?
@davidshire49723 жыл бұрын
You said it's a 97 but Toyota changed the 3f motors to 1fz in November 1992
@BoostGumps3 жыл бұрын
I never said its a 97. I said its a 91, i then later corrected myself when talking about the diff as its actually a 92. I just said it was bought in 97, so its been in our family for 23 years
