I tried this but when go into hide mode to place mirror the stairs vanish too so cant line up properly mirror ends up in wrong place

if you use the "c" button or collision tool to hide objects the stairs will disappear, if you use the text command /hide the object should stay, if you have any trouble still lmk and I could look into it further.
