Yeah, all of these are just good for a day really and when it's not raining. Afterwards, the water gets trapped and can become dangerous (bacteria, parasites, insects). As soon as it rains, the whole thing gets flooded. If they were designed in some way that the water could be cleared out and also in a way that would prevent it from getting completely flooded from rain, then the remaining issue is harmful insects and animals discovering it and using it for their own home.

"Primitive" or not- one of the other vids they showed the guy making 3 bricks- that he made- on camera- and they looked nice, but were far from perfect. Then in the next cut- he has a couple hundred of them to line this pool with- and they are all clearly store bought. Exactly the same shape, size, perfectly square and look NOTHING like the first 3 it showed the guy making in his fire place he built- That being said- you can look at that paint and tell it's store bought. So I bet that a whole lil crew painted that with rollers or big fat brushes! Then just showed the few clips with him and his tiny brush.
