I just did a similar thing where they had to move the walls into the shape of an S using sometimes trapped controls. I love the idea of charming them. I will have to roll that into the next puzzle.

The flame is extinguished using the ancient blood from 2nd room.

This is the "right" answer. Something with a hint, either the in the first room showing that the fire kept the blood contained but was still ice cold. Maybe you reveal that the priests of Sysuul become cold blooded and not even the heat of fire can touch them.

I think releasing the spirit should also have campaign consequences. The spirit would start to cause all sorts of chaos, rebuilding his cult with minions etc. Perhaps only the players can re seal the soul in his tomb. At least if they paid attention as they did each step to release him? Writing on the walls of an ancient ritual originally performed. So after whatever information they got from the spirit if they don’t reveal him they would have to eventually return here to deal with him, if they are clever enough. Just my two cents.
