My girlfriend of 4 years passed away September 9th, 2023. She was 36 years old, I'm 27. She got to see us beat the Chiefs and that's it. She missed the rest of the season and didn't get to see us win the division but I know she still saw it somehow someway. This season has meant everything to me even if we get a playoff win and more or not.

So very sorry for your loss. Truly the worst one must face, losing a loved one. I lost my dad 2yrs ago. Dad was a season ticket holder. I was blessed to travel to Pontiac silver dome, to watch Barry Sanders master his craft. But my faith tells me that our loved ones are looking down upon us. And I'm sure they're very aware of the happiness our Detroit Lions have brought us, these Gritty couple of seasons. And it's not even over yet. Reading these comments you can feel the emotion from the citizens of Detroit and the entire state. This was a downtrodden franchise and still the fans and the city were proud and rooting hard. It’s generational. It means more than prob any franchise in the NFL. It’s one of the original franchises. It’s different.

I grew up watching the Lions play at my grandfathers knee. He was alive to see them win in the 50's and was heartbroken to watch his team go down the drain. But he never stopped loving them. When we won the division I screamed at the ceiling "that one is for you pepaw" it means so much more than football.

Hey Detroit Lions... Congratulations to you from a 55 yr old West Coast Lifelong Ram Fan. So no I don't bleed Honolulu Blue. However during my lifetime I've never ever hated your team. Maybe at times I felt a little sorry for you. The obvious love of course is Barry Sanders. Man he was so special and I loved watching him on the field. For me with Lions tradition has always been Thanksgiving Day. Helping my mom with the big feast and getting ready to host the relatives and friends Mt mom and in the kitchen and looking over into the family room to watch the Lions game every year. The big QB trade comes to mind next. Thank you for allowing one of the most hard working qb's the sport has ever seen....leave your team and join another...The Rams and he promptly led us to the SuperBowl Victory. Our QB Goff who I had lost faith in is showing tremendous abilities to win and be a leader. Hope he succeeds as well as the test of your squad. This one may go down as the best trade ever whereby both teams benefitted so much. And Lastly I must say the game in which I became a big time fan of the Lions. Few years back vs. The Rams you guys came into SoFi Stadium winless like 0 and 6 for the year. Your team and coaching staff shows guts and moxy and threw out all the trick plays one could imagine. Fake punts here and onside kicks there over and over just to try and win with a shocker. Well you didn't win but from thst moment on I thought inteuly want to give this team more thsn just admiration from afar and a novelty sonto speak. I truly am fired up oh so firred up about this accomplishment. Now I'm a fan and a Fan for life.... Hear the Lions Roar!
