For a longer rear brake line, u can use a replacement one from autoparts store. The ends are male-female, so you can just add one in-line to make a longer one

Very nice set up! I also have 98 and i only have lift kit spacers and tires so far.. youre definitely right about how hard it is to lift a 5lug truck.

Keigo Saeki it is hard but you learn a lot in the process ! I love how mine is sitting, it was worth it. The spacers don’t do much but they are cheap enough to just do it to add some height. Glad you enjoyed the video!

It’s not the tint it’s the glass that makes that reflection when a tint is applied to the back of the glass all older Toyota’s will have that 👍🏻

When you did the body lift did you need any longer parts to compensate for the change in distance like wiring or steering?

metal4ya yes, the kit comes with a steering shaft extension. I explain more about it on a video that I uploaded talking about the body lift. Go check it out!

Go to FatBobsGarage they have a few stuff for the 5 lug Tacoma’s. Or Amazon lol I bought spacers and rear shackles just to get a good 2 inch lift for now

Alex Camp lol yea, it was the tire set up (rims are heavier than stock) and also the lift. Now since it’s lifted is less aerodynamic

Alex Camp it’s because it’s a 2wd (5 lug)non prerunner (6 lug)it’s designed to run small tires . like regular car size. i have a prerunner 2.7 ext cab running 31.5 inch tires getting 19-20 mpg driving not conservatively. also has a regear to compensate for lost efficiency and increased tire size.

Mind if i ask where you bought most of these mods? online? in a store? trying to get into this kind of stuff for my own trunk to make it look nicer and to actually take it off road, was just wondering where would be the most cost effective places to buy such mods?

exiarules the best place to get any of those things is online, that's where I got everything. You'll have to end up going to stores to get somethings like your tires mounted, and balanced and things like that, but the rest online

Did you body (bed) lift the rear 2” as well? The tow receiver looks good. Not low on the frame like some bed lifts. Awesome truck.

Jorge Acosta it would be cool but no, the truck is a 2WD. I just built this truck to pull my jet ski whenever I go out and for the looks of it. Maybe in the future I’ll get a crappy mud truck and build it.

Bao Tran yes I did put new lower and upper ball joints. No, it rode like when the axle was over the leaf springs. And I live in Tampa, FL

Do you have problems with air conditioning since there is no air cabin? I have problems driving my Tacoma 2003 on fwy get all sorts bad smells going through vent.

Is the shock absorber angle in the rear an issue?

marlinnotfish yes, once I fixed the angle the rear was not as bouncy anymore. I was basically driving with no shocks in the back because of the angle

Tou Xiong the spindles in the front pushed the tires out 2” so I put spacers in the back to make it even with the front

bukz vakitaz you don’t need any other parts. You’ll get the body mounts, front bumper extensions, fuel tank hose extension, and the steering shaft extension. I will make a video probably tomorrow explaining more in depth the process. It’s a long process you need to take it slow or you’ll go crazy.

bukz vakitaz I got the ball joints at NAPA auto parts. You can just go to any auto parts store and they’ll have them. They are around $80 for the four front ones
