I like how you took the time to explain the process of building the kit, although some might seem obvious or basic at first it is always good to see how you do things :) i am very pleased to see the proper metal file being loved and used so much here - it is so much better of a tool compared to those sanding sponges and what not out there.

Nice video. It's extra cool for me because I've seen in real life the suposedly only Panzer I Ausf. A that is left. It fought in the Spanish Civil War. Cool little tank.
@arthurmarinelli94186 жыл бұрын
Some very good techniques, I have actually cut into the ribs located on the exhaust to remove the seam lines. Your use of thin glue to remove the seam lines is much easier.

Great Vid.. I love the early Panzers - like a swarm of gnats... looking forward to the final. I have this and a Tristar Pz 1 waiting for a clear spot on my bench.. Keep up the good work...

The smaller Panzer's are very underrated in my opinion. Everyone wants to build the big ones: Panzer IV, Panther and Tigers. Panzer I, II and III are often neglected a bit. I have a Pz. 1 ausf. A Late in 1:72nd scale with full interior. Should be a fun build :-D

Panzer III is one of my favorites

I know I find panzer 3s-1s more enjoyable than tiger tanks and panthers

So I think! During the Polish and French campaign Panzer III and IV were side figures. And pretty much in Africa and USSR too, at the beginning. I have this model and I wait for an available "window" to can start building it.

Panzer 1 in 1/72 and in full interior? whaaat!?
@raymondkisner92405 жыл бұрын
For one they used the Panzer 1 with the stug to combine a double hit to the French and British infantry. Having rapid machinegun fire with short antipersonal shot at same time broke their infantry lines. The heavy tanks such as Panzer 3 and 4 taking on more bigger targets. The Panzer 2 being used to take out lighter vehicles and small dugout positions which the French were so common that many didn't have any heavy guns or enough ammo to fight very long.

Good build/review, liked the tips you included in the video. Hard to believe, this little tank was the one that started it all!!!

reminds me of a Tiger video, I wish I had time to do these. Very nice. The only critique I can give apart from my tool clamp stuff already is that the standard 2 meter antenna is tapered. However I have also used rod. I don't know that it's discernible at 1/35.

I'm building the new hobby boss line of panzer 1s just now I have this and the flak panzer with trailer ex tristar this kit has a full interior and engine detail and turret basket detail and hell of alot of PE the detail in this hob y boss to my Dragon kit is just amazing! The detail on the brakes alone in the hobby boss to the dragon kit is alot nicer and thinner detail I used 0.5 rod for the linkages and gear stick and got nice brass barrels for it! I loved my dragon kit but these ex tristar are just 10 time nicer if you haven't tried one yet highly recommend bud!

im building 6220 the panzer I with 2cm flak 38 now,perfect timing again.The rfm panther is expensive.But it is worth every penny compared to any other manufacturer.If a DML panther A late with metal barrel and no int costs £60 its a no brainer.The revosy is a dragon style ryefield kit,and the panther is more like takom style.I posted my zimm approach in comments and got a pretty good response from one person at least.

Great video Panzermeister! What paints do you use to make your panzer grey paint jobs? I have tried making my own mixtures but can never get a good color.
@headwaves69866 жыл бұрын
I can’t find a good one either
@Panzermeister366 жыл бұрын
Hey guys :) My mix is about 40% XF-69, 40% XF-2, and 20% XF-18. Roughly.... I used to not use the blue (XF-18) and would instead do a blue filter in the weathering stages.

I've always had a preference for the smaller tanks. They just have more of a mechanical quality to them, as if they are more farm tractor than killing machine. The early German, Soviet, Italian, Japanese, US and all the others during the 1930s convey that misplaced innocence that you didn't need a 50 ton monster to run over people; rather finer instruments that, though built for war, still retained a gentlemanly quality about them similar to what fighter pilots had at the time.

Love your videos! One question: do you change your hobby knife blade often? When you used it to clean up parts, it seemed like it required some effort. A new blade would just slice right through those little nubs of plastic. Just curious. 🙂
@Panzermeister366 жыл бұрын
That is a good point...I should change them out more often.

HI Many thanks for your really helpful tutorials!! I have just got back in to modelling after a long absence. One question: I assume you use acrylics for the base coat on your models, when it comes to your highlight/shadow/modulation/weathering effects you use oils mostly so do you put a clear satin or gloss coat over the base before you use the oils??
@tora73765 жыл бұрын
what colors do you use and how do you apply them for your tracks?Thanks

what's the easiest dragon panzer i to build? 6591, 6480, yours 6451. Is there problems with these like instructions not accurate or parts off or not fitting? i really like the panzer i and dragon seems like only manufacturer.

Ah, go to the Panzermuseum Munster (stay in a hotel in Soltau) and put in a one Euro coin into the slot and watch the Pz 1a turn and turn for one whole minute. Maybe some day soon, i will visit Kiel and see the U boat on display there. I hear you can do a walk through (can't do walk through in the one at Chicago).
@Panzermeister365 жыл бұрын
I have been to the Panzermuseum in Munster, and I have also been to the Science Museum in Chicago. You 100% can walk through the U-boat in Chicago...I did it myself.

I built about half of it. It is shit. 1990s parts, some are ruined on the sprues, and so on. I saved the gun and will put it in the Tamiya ISU-152 if I can get it. That BL-10 is too awesome not to use!

Why don't you cut the parts from sprues with sprue cutters as close to the parts as possible? Filling the gates is a total waste of time. Nice build review though.

Because even the best sprue cutters don't leave a perfect finish when they cut the part off.
