This is the first time I’ve seen this Alien kit. I love the detail and the paint job, but they really should have cast the jaw/mouth tendons in a transparent color and added a bit more transparency to the milky colored dome.

Wow that Alien is so large .. no wonder Esther is freaked out by it! I think your two sausage dogs were not impressed either! lol.. there are those who have the garden dwarf and those who have the garden xenomorph🤣🤣 Anyway, congratulations to you because it must have been a lot of work, especially for the whole part of fixing the "skin" on the frame but my biggest compliments go to whoever designed this thing: about 1 meter of xenomorph and the only part to keep it on the is the base that kind of crutch? Which among other things does not rest on the back but on the tail - I imagine it is very stable, at least the T-800 had those 2 somewhat brutal but functional screws that fit into the "coat hanger", as I think I have already mentioned, there are subjects that are good for this type of kit (essentially all purely mechanical humanoids or robots: T-800, Robocop, Optimus Prime, Johhnny 5 (maybe!) and all the cars/vehicles from films and TV series, by virtue of being mechanical), others really are not (all "living" beings: this one, E.T., Predator precisely because they have a "skin" that must be fitted onto an internal metal or plastic frame.)

It could do with amuch taller support rod as that one isn't tall enough

The rod is adjustable but it's only for.holding the tail. By expoxying the tail in placebit actually supports the full weight of the model

I haven't seen this elsewhere, but what are the actual dimensions of the base (width and depth)? Pack 11 just shipped for me, so I'm a ways off from getting the base put together, but I want to get a small end table/stand to put the whole thing up off the floor and closer to head height -- away from the dogs. But the spot where I'm planning on putting it is a little tight, so I want to make sure that I find something that's just big enough but not too big. Thanks!

Y really wonder why so much hate about the model.im from argentina and y only have the neca 1/4 scale.y would really love to see some comparison with a cinemaquette or a hot toys or the neca side by side not for the size.is the sculpture,the details y wonder who is the most acurate to the movie.

now that you've built the whole thing, can you say if the rubber skin was worth the trouble? I thought it would look odd to have some parts plastic and some parts rubber, but it looks to match pretty well.

It matches really well. Worth the pain. To be honest I'm not sure how you could get this effect any other way short of having some sort of elastic material.

Followed that build from the start, and your struggles with the rubber. It’s a lot of money, but compared to the t800 from Hachette you and I did years ago at roughly the same cost it just in my mind doesn’t compare. Not keen on the motorised mouth or the brown bits on the head, to me just doesn’t look realistic unlike the T800, shame as it was a lot of effort. But well done another successfully completed model

I'm glad you did it so i could watch because it wouldn't 😮fit into my house...at least not right now...lolol What i was wondering was...the four short tentacles that come out of the back that are on the magnetic back piece... Are they just short and cut off at the ends... there's nothing that goes onto those... Just wondering... Just got my pack 12 of Ayrton Senna's Lotus not alot of parts for the money... just little details... But i finally got the free Serna cap🧢...lol It's been on backorder for a while... I don't know what the complete cost is for this (probably near a grand) but the end result after all that effort Wayne put into it I'm sorry but it just looks like an ugly kids toy.
