Next time, consider straightening the wire before assembling your hoops; it will make the assembly process much easier. You can put it under tension (a come-along works great), or using some rollers, fabricate a wire version of a tubing straightener with the rollers at the right offset for your wire (the offset will be too large with an actual tubing straightener)

😮❤looks amazing! Fantastic result! 🎉 I love your line “I decided to use one more because….it’s America!!!” Imagine if you lived in Texas! It’s have to be a 12 foot ball with 50 nets! 😂

Fantastic! (Plus, you can use it for your personal Times Square drop ball.) The drill wire-twister. (I will never twist wire by hand the rest of my life.) Totally agree with the extra net of lights - just 'cuz it's America. PR stunt for BMB: Make a couple hundred of these and sneaky decorate the General Sherman redwood tree. Christmas comes - surprise!

This is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen! It’s so beautiful. I’m sure that everyone who sees it wants it, I know do. I would love to make some for all my family and friends. You make it look so easy. I am so sad at the number of subscribers you have. You are way too good to be hidden away!!

Thanks for the high praise I really appreciate it!! I really liked making the light ball! I’m still pretty new to KZbin but I’m sure I’ll keep gaining more subscribers as I put out more videos. Please recommend me to anyone you think might be interested!

Awesome build. I never would have thought about doing that. I like the 6’ and the smaller one as well. Is it possible to break down and store?

Fun video to watch. You're really becoming quite the showman engineer. Looking forward to your next project. BTW, your younger assistant also was outstanding( in a nonspeaking role).

What is the footage of these items are needed? Could the lights be added inside and could it be covered with paper mache then painted like a globe or would it need to be a stronger outer structure?
@BearMountainBuilds2 жыл бұрын
Each ring is 18.84ft long wire. I would say paper mache wouldn’t be strong enough to withstand the weight of the sphere itself and break. You would be able to put the lights on inside if you leave a small opening you could climb in there and attach the lights,but I will say I had no issues with having the lights on the outside and it was much easier.
@nyacoustics83732 жыл бұрын
maybe just easier to make the support from wood and just use chicken wire around that
@BearMountainBuilds2 жыл бұрын
I could see doing a combo of wood and thicker gage wire as the frame
@hopeless1512 жыл бұрын
I would say do the wood and chicken wire in sections that could be separated for storage up in the rafters of the shop/garage...?
