“The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.
But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.
Don’t rejoice when your enemies fall;
don’t be happy when they stumble.
For the Lord will be displeased with you
and will turn his anger away from them.
Don’t fret because of evildoers;
don’t envy the wicked.”

With Sculptamold, you can mix paint into the water so it's most bandage white, even if it gets chipped. Use cheap dollar-store acrylic, and make the water super dark with black and brown paint, it will be much lighter when mixed with the plaster and will dry even lighter than that. Tamiya Panel Liners also work nicely for the stains between tracks. Use the black, dark brown or brown, spray IPA and then use the brush that comes in the bottle of panel liner to drag the stain along.

Looks awesome, Jimmy! It is much easier to landscape on a module than to reach over an entire layout. Nice!

Having lived my whole life in western NC it's always entertaining and oddly surreal to watch people model the setting. Watching trains between Black Mountain and Old Fort as a kid got me interested in model railroading in the first place.

Looking forward to this build. I watch this one channel from England and he takes the handle of his paint brush and taps the rails to get the ballast to settle between the rails and it seems to work really well. This is going to be fun to watch as you build the modulas and do the scenery. This is going to be great year of model railroading. GOD BLESS. 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖

This is a nice module. I normally do they scenery around the tracks and then ballast the tracks. I noticed when I do it that way it looks more realistic. For trees I like to use orange tree sticks. You can cut them down to as small as you want and they provide nice color tree trunks.

Good morning Jimmy! Happy Monday what a great subject for a video. Recently, my brother got into Model railroading (with some help from his younger brother… Me) and we were discussing how we can Railroad together. I think this is the perfect way to have a little more engagement and fun with him. I am going to suggest that we make our modules and get together every few weeks and run some trains.

Great video, Jimmy! We have quite a few sedum plants, so I last fall clipped them and let the tops dry for about a year. I made my trees like yours, but used free sawdust from the home improvement store that I sifted and colored in three shades of yellow and green with acrylic paint. They turned out great too. Sedum is so easy to use! Good luck with the other modules!

Looks great....yeah once you ballast and weather you really can't tell it's Unitrack. I don't think I'll ever use a traditional snap track again...the only drawback is you can't find a 3way or a wye in unitrack but there are ways around that.

Great episode. I liked to see the way you did the ballast with the Kato. I love my Unitrack and have had good success making it look naturally ballasted and weathered as well, and it just plain works great and is easy to assemble. Enjoyed the scenery techniques too. Many good techniques this episode. I am stealing most!

Started to to make modules old school timber and MDF but when it comes to track going make the t-trak 1 layout as I like single track design as got more space to play with landscaping and simple sidings with no need for crossovers plus I can go bigger runs with out lot track as track is not cheap here in Australia.

Might have to make a video at some point. But my "Hack" with Ballasting Unitrak is to not ballast the centers. Instead, ballast the edges with a fine ballast BUT, after its dry I airbrush the entire track+ballast the Ballast color then paint the rails and ties with a brush. Doing the above can have the module ballasted and track painted in about 45 minutes compared to the 3 hours it took fanagaling the ballast between the ties.

Why do you dot glue between the ties before applying the ballast, and then go over it again after with the scenic cement? Other folks I've seen lay ballast, brush it around to clear the ties, then go straight to IPA + scenic cement. I'm curious what benefits you see from your method!

Hello Jimmy, I have a question. Have you considered making a discord or subreddit where people can share their layouts, ask questions, and just talk about model railroading? I'm very new to model railroading and I haven't really found a good place to ask questions about it. If you know of any subreddits or discords like this, I would like to know. Thanks.
