So you’re building back this Shasta with a “Scotty style” wall build? That actually looks way easier!!! When you get to the electrical I’d like to see that process in detail, I’ve watched most of your vids…but I can’t wrap my head around how to run electric behind plywood without the tin being all wavy on the outside. Keep up the good work, my son and I are watching and learning!!!

I run almost all of the wiring through the cabinets. Thanks for watching.

Hey Rob, do you batten the walls on the inside for insulation or is that the walls done?

Hi Rob just want to say i enjoy watching your videos and im getting alot of info but recently bought the biggest piece of junk trailer from the 70s to rebuild , im a carpenter contractor and live in canada , i love all things antique and vintage , and been watching for a while now , unfortunately i live in Canada and trailers take beatings up here and to find a good one cheep , scotties gutted here go for 2 grand its stupid but people just ask way too much , i just paid 400 for a 17 foot 1972 glendale glenette , three corners are crushed and its got seems coming apart , its gutted minus paneling and bathroom but has some fixtures still and all the windows and the door still there and referbishable if thats a word , roof is real nice but no roof vent water comes right in ,,,,its a total rebuild , my long winded question is how do you feel about keeping all the original tin but i want to hammer the rinkles out when the skins off , do you think thats wise ? Reason is , i dont think i can get a 15 foot piece to replace the driver side and im going to be painting it so would you do this or cut and patch , i have some skin from a pop up but not same profile or long enough but its mint shape and maybe i can design some patches , anyway just wanted to pick your brain on this , i dont see you repair rinkles or crushed corners and im assuming thats because you have a source , i cant find any close to me ....

Early on I reused the skin but by the time I spent repairing and prepping for paint, I could buy new skin and be about even and the finished product is worth so much more. Mac's Aluminum here can go up to 12'6' on their metal. But many trailers used to use four panels per side to reach 15". It just depends on time, money and the look you're going for.
