100% recommend farming Ivara as a new player to make ALL fishing/hunting trivial to do. Go invis, set up a suspension line over fishing spot, and easily fish without them running away. Her sleep arrow is perfect for hunting as well. The only thing she isn’t amazing for is mining because the laser deactivates her invis.
@Prophes0rАй бұрын
Dashwires break fishing a lot. I used to use this method, and still do to move from 1 side of the lake to another, but this year I have noticed fish failing to spawn, or even despawning when I get on a dashwire that the game decides is "wrong" for fishing. Ivara with the stealth drill addon is the ONLY way to mine IMO.

One important note about the Deimos Mining: Namalon can be a little hard to get. When Deimos first dropped, Namalon and Thaumica were a similar rarity, however in November of 2020, a patch for the Deimos update came out; and Thaumica's drop chance was doubled and the drop chance of Namalon was lowered significantly. Sometimes it drops really easily like it does here, but in my experience it can be as rare as Rocking Horse Dung. Patience is a virtue when mining for Namalon, and maybe a bit of swearing and nashing of teeth if you can get away with it. Best of luck to those on the quest to build a Necramech.
@Prophes0rАй бұрын
I ran into this problem recently. I needed ~250 Devolved Namalon for some crafts and it took me HOURS of mining to get it. I got over a thousand Thaumica by the time I had the 200ish Namalon I needed.

Treating a marathon like a sprint tends to have that effect. Are you treating this like some annoyance you have to endure in order to unlock features you think you should have had access to when you first started the game? For longer grinds, I recommend working out ways you can grind for this while also getting other stuff done that you want to do. Optimizing for the fastest possible grind or the most possible amount of resources in order to get something is the best way to destroy your enjoyment.

Small optimization for breaking boxes while mining, if you use quick melee you can tap Zoom to bring the laser back out rather than the gear wheel. Practice/comfort will likely dwarf any gains, but for a new player it might be worth practicing. You can also set up a keybind for the laser, but less useful for controller players.

I often use the Exploiter Cave for mining on Fortuna. It's a great cave by itself (usually) - but entering and exiting the boss room at the bottom reloads all the other nodes on the map (like extracting). So you get to do the cave twice in quick succession. Your spot and actually reloading looks like it'd probably faster. Thank you for a good mining location on Deimos, too!

Two things: one is they're powerful enough to do what you need them to do. They're essentially tied to the narrative and they get the job required there done. That same narrative implies they were a not entirely successful technology that was replaced by warframes. Two is no one wanted these things. I didn't come to this game to play mechs. If I wanted to play Mechwarrior, then I'd play Mechwarrior. Having said that, they are somewhat interesting, but there is no practical reason to choose them over warframes.

I find it weird that the Necramech, maybe the least relevant thing in your arsenal, is the biggest roadblock to progressing the story. They have made the archwing and railjack very reasonable to attain. Why are they so insistent that it stays this way? One measly necramech segment in the new war keeps new players from enjoying the quests?
@chaosgyroАй бұрын
Almost all of this stuff comes easily except the Heciphron. Breaking boxes usually gives all of the fish parts before you even realize you're going to need them, and the amounts on Plains/Vallis materials are very low.

@@84m30 I just wouldn't say it's non-essential either. The necramech slots perfectly into making eidolon and orb fights more approachable, and having a Mausolon instantly makes archwing content better as well. Minor critique: Mining nodes are not randomized. They appear only at specific designated locations. They each have an associated loot table, which they roll when you use it. Ore/gems are not distributed evenly on these loot tables. What this means is that some areas of the map have very low, or zero chance to drop certain things, while other areas have a different weighting. The spot on The Plains is a great example of this. This cave is the best place for Auron, not just because there are many nodes, but also because Auron is more heavily weighted on the loot table. Many other areas on The Plains have a very low, or even zero chance to drop Auron. The areas you show might be able to drop every resource you need to build a Mech, which is fine because it is the subject of this video. But you sort-of frames your statements like those are the best/only spots you will need for "all" mining. Players need to understand that when target farming something specific, they might need to go somewhere else(treating it a lot more like fishing.) Your preferred spot on Venus might be a good spot for these particular resources, but it can't drop all of the stuff you will need. Otherwise? Great new player guide. I'll deffo be pointing people here when I help them out. Cheers!

For Rep, I thought it was generally the goal to make and spend Grandmother tokens, since you get more rep out of it than what you need to put into the Grandmother tokens.
@canolathra6865Ай бұрын
If you want to rank up the syndicate and get the weapons/arcanes/etc., yes. But if your intention is to simply make a mech as fast as possible, farming mother tokens will be faster than farming all of the other tokens and getting Grandma tokens. So buy any Grandma tokens that cost only Mother tokens (which is typically maybe 1 every few hours), but otherwise spamming bounties will be faster.

Glad DE learned their lesson from that. - Kuva and Tenet Weapons: Not as bad because I took the 5 Forma as an excuse to just build all of them but still pretty bad. I kinda leveled them up passively (just forma'ing them and playing the game normally). Had I focused solely on doing this, I think I would've physically died. - AMPs: Back when Operators were ass, AMPs were pretty annoying to level up, especially considering how you had to level them up twoce due to guilding and there was no Sanctuary Onslaught, meaning you had to run Hydron exclusively.

@@Ninja_Pro As far as i can make out, it was part of either "long term investment on your weapons" or, and this is the most likely, artificially extending grinding times. Warframe wasn't always as big as it is now. I have no doubt that Lich Weapons reaching Rank 40 was made for the sole purpose of pushing Forma purchases which in turn, pushes Platinum Pack Purchases. Now I think the Mechanic has just stuck around. For the Technocyte Weapons (from the upcoming Technocyte Coda), Rebb straight up asked if the players wanted them to be Rank 30 or Rank 40 and it seems it'll be Rank 40 per the Stream's comments. I hope they give out some buffs to justify the 5 Forma investment and get that "long term weapon investment" feeling these Weapons should have.

@Brozime I don't know. With as rarely as heciphron dropped for my sons recently I think it might be just worth the extra pain to have even a placebo effect while trying to get the golden nuggets. For reference: I got most of my Heciphron from box breaking and a love of doing all the extra Vault rooms. I wound up trading at least 50-60 of the 80 heciphron needed for two voidrigs because several hours of mining didn't yield nearly enough for them.

On an incredibly really weird note, Heciphron is easier to obtain with the Focused Nosam Laser you get on Cetus. I do not understand why but I spent an hour or 2 with the Sunpoint and barely got Heciphron but then I used the Focused Nosam and got all the Heciphron I needed in under 30mins. Last I remember there is a hidden "tier" system to the drills with the nosam at 1, focused nosam at 2, and the Sunpoint at 3 which would end up giving you "rarer" materials.
@Prophes0rАй бұрын
Absolutely untrue. The whole "Quality" of ores/gems has always been a myth. It is a simple drop table like a crate. An ore node in that location will always roll on that exact drop table, with NOTHING modifying the roll. If it is an 80%/20% split, it will always be that. PLEASE stop spreading this myth.

Unfortunately getting the ranks necessary for that isn’t faster than just mining more and you lose features that make mining easier from the sun point so that advice only really works for people who understand how the mining nodes spawn which doesn’t apply to newer players and is too much of a hassle anyway imo
