This game is pretty neat. Makes me think you could strategize around mazing early, creating loops, and leaving space for shortcuts made from upgraded cards (like campfire+).

I think the meta would be stacking all your stat upgrades together at the beginning on a dead end and only going there if you needed to fight.

I encourage anyone watching this to try the demo, it is quite compelling to play compared to watching, much harder to avoid getting lost in the maze than it seems like it should be, it has very cool vibes and the monsters are more of a "time" obstacle than an important mechanic, they prevent you from just running the same speed the whole time. I try many of Retromation's game suggestions, and love this channel, and I liked this better than I expected

I'm shocked at how drawn in I got to this game, honestly. The seeming simplicity made me think that this game wouldn't interest me, but the dungeon crawling worked super well with the deck-building here. Pretty nifty idea, with a pretty nifty execution.

There was a rune in the faerie spring you walked past, so the fear they may spawn in far corners is legitimate.

I personally really like the idea of having to fight through my own puzzle of a dungeon!

Ohhh, reminds me of Guild of Dungeoneering. I used to have it in my phone but now it's unavailable (outdated or something, idk)

Reminded me of the game I enjoyed playing on PSP that was about building your own dungeon, walking around it and killing everything that spawn there (and the spawning would heavily depend on the type of stuff you built), and from killed enemies you will get the resources to build further. Spent tens of hours on this game, but I can't recall what it was even called now...Found it, Dungeon Maker 2: The Hidden War, if anyone curious. Is there any similar games out there?

There was Master of the Monster Lair on the DS, which worked similarly, but based on what I can find that may just... Be another entry in the Dungeon Maker series, just the name for the US version? My World My Way uses a lot of similar infrastructure, though I don't think the princess in that builds the dungeon herself, I believe she's more exploring dungeons like those from Master of the Monster Lair (to the point where the dungeon makers from that show up and are suggested to be responsible for making the dungeons she's visiting, even), so while it has similar combat ideas and such, you don't actually make the dungeon you're going through (... if my memory serves, it's been quite a while since I played it).
