Thanks, question; is there a way of using a specific cell say A1 to send 0/5 volts through a specific pin number in the serial connector or via USB ? Or reading a 0/5 volts through a specific serial pin number and show results in cell A1, possibly a loop because status can change.

Hi did you check the #2 and #3 videos? they explain how to ping at regular intervals and automate via task scheduler. #9 video captures the data and a chart is created.. The links should be available in the description if these videos dint help, do let me know.

I really like this but I am looking for something a bit different and wanted to get your thoughts. I want to ping a single external IP or URL and record the results and have excel repeat the ping say every 30 seconds continuously for a period of time, say a certain number of hours or days. I'd like the results to be able to be plotted in a graph. The intent is show external network availability over a time period. Thanks.

I have followed this and must say, I have no VBA experience and folloing your videos I was able to manipulte some code to match my requirments but have to ask the following. Can multiple IP's be pinged at once? If not, I would like to ping 3 IP's left to right then move down one line and ping again left right. I have tried multiple excel workbooks running at the same time but noticed that the workbook where the button is pressed gets preference and kills the other ping in the other workbooks. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Chris, thanks that you liked the video. 😊 I think in the link below, i have covered a similar scenario, which pings multiple hosts and sets either 1 or 0 depending upon the accessibility. kzbin.info/www/bejne/npLappKBaplladk This will also have a chart which will plot the results. You can modify the code according to your needs.
