I love hearing from you English lessons ... question .. why the word ( associate ) sometimes has SH sounds other times has S sound .. assoshiate assosiate ?
@BOOKISHENGLISH874
@BOOKISHENGLISH874 17 күн бұрын
The word "associate" can be pronounced in two different ways depending on how it's used: As a verb: When "associate" is used as a verb, meaning "to connect or bring into relation," it’s often pronounced with a "sh" sound: uh-SOH-shee-ayt ( /əˈsoʊʃieɪt/). As a noun or adjective: When "associate" is used as a noun (meaning "a partner or colleague") or as an adjective (meaning "related or connected"), it can be pronounced with an "s" sound: uh-SOH-see-it ( /əˈsoʊsiət/). Both pronunciations are correct, but the pronunciation with the "sh" sound is more common in American English when the word is used as a verb.

Странно, что каким-то магазинам придают значение этого слова. Вездесущим может быть только Бог!
