I been growing for forty years so don't tell me an old dog can't learn new tricks. I've started growing with your soil since 2021 and it's the best move that I have ever made. I've grown with Hydo indoors for years using the GH products. Once I found your super soil, I had to try it. Best move I ever made. I grow everything outdoors now and the difference is unbelievable. I've photo doc every stage of growth. The results are beyond phenomenal, and the quality of the buds and the full body of the smoke will definitely make you a believer. If you have any doubts about this product, put them aside. Thanks Jeremy, and your hard-working team too.

Just to let you know, BAS ground mustard seed meal is awesome at killing off the fungus knats and larvae when used right😊
@Patrickhashxpatty Жыл бұрын
How do you use them correctly? I’ve been dealing with fungus gnats since the summer and it only seems to have been getting worse. Used nematodes and bought hundreds of dollars worth of beneficial insects. And months later still barely made a budge. It’s like the larvae come back every time no matter how much I dry the soil or use sticky traps or spray things on thrm. Has me almost wanting to toss the soil and start from scratch.
@maxell330 Жыл бұрын
That's rough for sure. Just scratch the surface water or spray so it goes into the soil a bit then sprinkle the top and scratch in and repeat the water so it goes down to the larvae. Wait a few days and check for adult's and squish them, if you can avoid bottom feeding also for a few days as to not drive them deep for moisture. Then repeat at the end of the week. If you still have them it might be root aphids.
@garywillow6578 Жыл бұрын
I am no expert but when suffering fungus gnats i dilute full fat milk with water; then i spray the top of the soil until drenched. Seems to greatly reduce numbers. Been doing this for thrips as my grow is infested. This i spray on the leaves(make sure you cover the underside of the leaves). The thrips do not like it. I also make lacto bac and spray the whole plant and top soil. This does have a strong effect.

I'm about to do my first run in a 3x3 grassroots bed (indoor, 4x4 tent) and was wondering how many transplants you'd recommend when im starting in a rooting cube. The second question is regarding using the same bed for other crops. Can this be done viably with reamending etc, and are there certain crops to stay clear from (with consideration to the main crop). I learned at the soil foodweb school that Nematodes are more vulnerable in a sprayer due to their size. They are much bigger than bacteria and lots of fungal strands as well. So if your sprayer is projecting too fine a mist and going through a filter with too fine of a screen the Nematodes can be damaged. By removing your nozzle as Jeremy suggested you will eliminate this issue. Some pumps are problematic as well for similar reasons, and any brewers with 90 degree angles as they tend to smash your Nematodes.

I've ask this question before, with no real answer. My mom and step father live on 6 acres that's been in his family for generations. It once was much more, but what's left is 6 acres that he has. Him, his family has always farmed organically and there is a pond, man made to help with any flooding and it's close to where the land is farmed and I'm sure there is run off. There is fish, frogs, I see cranes, geese, ducks. Life everywhere, should I use the water for my plants occasionally, would it be beneficial?
@PoppaLongroach Жыл бұрын
Ii grow and make moonshine. We have a saying, if it's fresh clean running water with critters living in it it's probably going to make good shine. Pond water with critters living in it will grow great corn for moonshine. It's worth a try on couple plants. I personally think it would be fine
@vinniez2188 Жыл бұрын
Check your ppm and ph. If both look good then there's a good chance that the water is fine, otherwise if you want to know exactly what is in the water then you need a water test. The water will also change some based on the temperature.

I've never had any hermaprhodites or issues and it was a 100% of the time female plants.What i thought was a failure ended up giving me pretty much seeds for life! and the thing is, it's like christmas every time i harvest because evey pheno is different. It's the same genetics but the flowers tend to vary a lot from bud structure to taste. it's just like your siblings if you have any, they all come from the same mother but they all look diffrent.

I've learned best to recycle that living soil. Then constantly amended with craftblend. Build a soil and/or down To earth products. I let that stuff set for 6 months in the heat. I have been able to grow. It's the best medicine I have ever grown. 3 weeks in the flower treps are dripping off.
@rayjay8322 Жыл бұрын
I pot up my Earthbox and immediately top dress. I just leave an area in the center to plant in. If I am running autos, I add top dress the first week of flower.. I top dress quite heavily and monitor the nutrient mound by the root intrusion. Indoors, two top dressings are usually sufficient, if you have chosen your girl correctly. There are earthbox junior girls and there are regular earth box girls. Now that's mainly for autos, but you could say the same if .you veg a girl too long in a junior earthbox. You'll be chasing your butt all through flower.

Hello jermey. Love the show and all the education you have taught me has really up'd my outdoor medical garden. I noticed that you only like to "cure" or "store" your flower in glass jars. What are your thoughts on the terploc bags? I use them and get great results. They are cheaper than jars and I never have to worry about excess moisture if there is any because they basically keep the RH at 60ish. They "breath" per say. I keep my flower inside the bags in the basement in a 27 gallon tote. I've had flower in there over a year and it is still fantastic. Is that because the environment or the bag? Or is it just a fluke? The flower is just as good as the day I put it in there. I just wanted to know your thoughts on the terploc bag. Thank you and keep the great education coming.😊

Down by the fen. Which I pull green moss and peat out of the bog. I dig some gypsum sand from a seep and add black stinky lake/swamp sand. I use dolomite cement CaMg +silica and vermiculite. I throw spongy wood and a bunching fern crown into water at bottom of 2-3 foot hole. Then add my soil mix. Works great for me. But that area grows 6 foot ferns to begin with even in the sand. My soil on property only has 2-3 inches of top soil then to glacial shifted sand. U.P. north in Mi we bake some great bread at camp. But property is like a food forest with over 15 kinds of wild berries. Plus I have added too it to make better habitat for humans and wild animals.

You can simmer the bones and leach out all of the minerals and then use that in your waterings, or you can use the bones with some microbes, have the microbes break it down similar to have Fish Hydrolysate/Fish Amino Acids are made(from local wild-caught fish directly from the fishermen/co). I haven't used Blood in my ferments yet, but I have a 5 gallon bucket of fish parts that's been fermented for 1.5 years now, and I add cow/chicken/etc bones to it at times. I added it into 2-3 concurrent soil drench waterings and the gnat sticky traps we mostly clean for the remainder of the grow. Highly recommended. I do have a question about BTI though. Since it's a living bacteria, can this be watered into soil as a preventative measure early on? Do the bacteria live for awhile or just take out the existing gnat larva and die off?
