Mistakes happen. I once sowed 4 different strains direct into solo cups in the kitchen, loaded the cups into seedling trays for ease of carrying, and then dropped the trays down the basement stairs. I recovered a few seeds by sifting through the mess, but didn't know what they were. I learned a couple things: 1. Work one strain at a time 2. Do all the work at or near the grow space 3. Don't smoke before work requiring fine motor skills. Thanks for your hard work, Jeremy!

Appreciate telling us about your leaving town experience. It has happened to me, more than once. I spent 1 1/2 maybe 2 years growing to find this really strong White Widow pheno. I grew her to about 4 ft tall and took a lot of clones and moved the momma outside in a 30 gallon pot in partial sun on my back patio. I made a deep water cloner that worked so good I had my confidence level on high. I had 16 holes for 16 clones but had never filled them all up. This time I filled every hole not thinking about it. I watered all plants and we left town for 5 days. When I returned I quickly went to find all the clones dead because I filled every hole the humidity couldn't get high enough. Pissed at myself I went to get momma to see if I could take a few more clones but she was gone (stolen) and so I was mad at myself for, well I still am 30 plus years later!

Love the transparency of your series! We've all been there, last year I found out my son could crawl when I turned my back for a second and he crawled over to my rack and dumped 10pots🤣 then our cat ate a few seedlings😡 just got 22seeds started in cups before this video kicked off, first time direct sowing seems like a good idea I rend to get busy with work and forget to check on paper towel or cup method ones. First time having an actual tent and setup to use super excited about it I owe most of that to this video series so tha k you again!!

Great series! Appreciate the honesty. Clear cups will work on any size container. Two years ago, I had four plants that I started indoors and moved outside after the last hard freeze, around this time of year. I didn't realize that daylight was less than 12 hrs and they started to flower. After they recovered from that shock, I found catepillars on them and sprayed them down with soap and water, only to kill three of the best looking plants I had grown, up to that point. That's when an autoflower is nice to have growing!

Thanks for your honesty! First off...just received a yard of your craft blend today...look forward to using it!! Mistakes I've made in the past. 1. Sprouted 300 seeds only to find after they all sprouted that a mouse decided to eat the tops so I came into the sprouting shed one morning with a bunch of stalks sticking in the air...all of which were bomber genetics. I got the mouse eventually but that was shock. Lesson is put your pots on a table or something a mouse cant crawl up. 2. After putting some newly rooted clones from flourescent to powerful HLG LED lights....clones died...they weren't hardened off properly and got completely scorched. Lesson is harden your plants off! So yeah man it happens. Don't feel too bad about it.

Great job on being transparent, it usually is the hard thing to do but it is always the RIGHT thing to do. I recently popped about 12 seeds and had a horrible germination rate like there are 3 plants running out of the original 12. Then I did an additional 2 I got from a local breeder and I screwed both of those also. Craziest thing is I've poped about 20 seeds before that round last year and always had 100% Germination too. I think it was the pH of the water at my new house, adjusted it but kind of left it at that for diagnosing the problem

Got to show the highs and the lows..cause it happens to everyone. My biggest problems come after the seedlings are a couple of weeks old and I'm going in the tent to water other plants and hit them with my arm or water can and knock them over and it kinks the stalk..most do not recover from me. I have to serve myself a harsh reminder every so often and remember how delicate young plants are. Onwards and upward! ✌

You guys are awesome!! The honesty makes learning about growing so much more personable. Everyone has made mistakes. I planted a bunch of seeds and put domes over it because I was lazy and didn't want to keep checking the soil moisture. I kept them on for too long and they got moldy - wasted a couple hundred dollars... It probably doesn't hurt as much when you are getting the seeds for free!! 🤣

Hey Mister J! Firstly, I'd like to thank you for all your content and your dedication to the craft. I genuinely aspire to have your wealth of knowledge at some point in my life, as well as make the shift to living soil... I'm definitely working on it but the cost is the biggest hurdle. A quick story that relates to making completely avoidable and simple mistakes that you end up kicking yourself for, especially when it's a cardinal rule... I have a fairly high success rate when it comes to propagating clones however, I once lost a mother (which I stripped down completely for clones after nearly a year) and all 24 clones of my favourite strain because I forgot to plug in the light and heatmat after closing the tank for 3 days. Needless to say I was devastated... -From Cape Town, South Africa

Man, losing seeds are the worst. I literally just lost a pack of 6 about 2 months ago. Was the worst feeling…was trying to get the dampness of the medium perfect and over watered (rookie mistake), and lost them. Felt terrible, but told myself I wouldnt let it happen again, thankfully i had the same pack and went at it again and they going strong now. Best method is exactly how you explained. Dome, water once, and let the humidity carry out the explosive growth if the seed.

My very first grow was an autoflower in a 3 gal tote I turned into a pot(drilled holes etc). Anyway about 3 or 4 weeks in I somehow overwatered it and it was in bad shape. So I took it outside into the sun for about 3 hours (nervously looking to make sure no one saw it). That saved my ass but it was a close call.

Similar problem but mine went the other way. Didn't put them in a propagator and the top of the soil kept drying out (but since I was around) I kept watering. As a result of over watering the roots didn't really grow and 5 weeks on they'd barely grown so had to restart. Did it with all my plants veg and medicinal too. I recently bought myself a water sprayer similar to yours and think I was just a little too excited.

if you ever need to put plants "on ice" as clones or seedlings you can usually get away with a little bit of Kratky. Just sit your clones or seedlings or whatever in a bit of water and let capillary action do the work. Ive done it before when I had to go away for while. It's hard on the plants to stay overwatered but better than dead. Back in the days of HPS when plants would crisp in 2 days.

Something I noticed when growing autos is they don't like having the light off 12 hrs and it's a benefit to finish early on them having the light on longer with flowers on it when in 12 hrs of darkness buds are small and shit due to it being auto something to consider might want to do autos in the veggie garden?
