Jiffy have Coco pellets as well as the peat ones (at least they do here in Australia). They also make them in multiple sizes.

Those pucks should have two depths. One for seed and one for clone. That would help em stand out a little more from the competition

The problem with the coins is the same issue with jiffy pellets they are too compressed don’t allow much oxygen . I’ve used em quite a few times. And went back to Root Riot plugs.

When preparing water/nutrient solution to hydrate the coco coins, make sure to aerate the water and also add h2o2 (hydrogen peroxide). This will aerate the solution so that there is oxygen present within the coco coins as they hydrate.

I am testing these out right now. Seemed pretty easy to use. Puffed up nicely. Easy to stick the clones in. Should be nice to try seeds soon. I wish the flora flex ones broke down faster. Mine seem to stick around a bit. The root riots were the worst for that tho. Love all the info and tips you share man. My grow goes smooooth following the build a soil way. Low stress and easy to have others water during vacations and stuff. Keep up the great content guys 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

I've used Rapid Rooters, Root Riots (I prefer the Rapid Rooters). Also have used Peat pellets in the past. IDT any of these "totally broke down", and could always see a remainder. Usually the main stem has spread the plug out, extremely, but still could always see some remains. I've heard bad things about some Coco Coir plugs, and terrible success..?! Bad brand maybe..?! These "Char Coir" Coco Coir plugs with (Bio Char..?!), as well, seem to be an entire different beast..?! I'll definitely have to give them a try now! Need to order a few more BAS products, so I won't forget these when ordering! Thanks again Jeremy! 👍💯✌️

Honestly I need something like this. My last few grows have been coco. Now that I'm back with organics I instantly got damping off on my seedling lol. No doubt my fault for over watering. Coco seed starter pucks would completely avoid that.

Hello Jeremy , congratulations on the success of you're business. Great YT content as always. Ive just finished my 3rd run. I keep messing up the dry and cure. For this run I've been using the ac extraction and ac humidifier. I've been dry now 17 days, and branches are almost snapping, but not at that snap just yet. I have one fan above fixed blowing, but not directly, and one ac fan that is turning on speed 4.. I have been keeping it in 60-61 rh the hole time. Unfortunately I csnt do much about temps. I'm in Ireland, it's cool here now, best temps I can get down is to 62f. I sampled a small piece a few days ago and it was decent.. Had another small sample today and it's pretty harsh.. The ash is dark and it hurts my throat when I inhale.. I csnt understand why my bud go's like this at this stage of drying. I thought this time it wud be different because if be keeping it in range. When I open my 4x4 now where I'm drying, it smells like hay.. But the buds when I gridn them up smell really really nice. The bud grinds pretty good, but when ya sprinkle it, it still has that slight clumpyness to it. Is that few extra degrees a bug different? Why is my ash black.? And if the terps are still there when I grind it, does that mean this harvest can still come good yet? Sry for extra questions, but it's getting frustrating for me now.. I've spent quite a bit and ending up with hay each time lol.. Super frustrating cuz I'm happy enough with everything else.. Il probably just end up doing what I did last few times and infuse it with chocolate lol.. Thanks for considering my questions, keep up the good work. Dave From Ireland 🇮🇪 🇺🇸

Hi! I love your content and have been watching since season 1. Thank you so much for taking the time to make these. Lately I have been having some severe issues in my grow room and was hoping someone could try and offer some insight. I have been growing for 6 years, 4 years organic and have never had any issues. I live in southern europe and my indoor season runs from october-april as its too hot in the summer months. I've been using Greenhouse feeding bio grow and bio bloom + volcanic rock dust for minerals and everything has been fine, but somehow in my last three grows (two last season and now my first grow this season) looks just horrible. I think any sensible grower would have thrown out the plants by now. My plants look nice and healthy, dark green in the beginning, but then about a week after I transplant into anything from a 10L pot to a 40L pot the plants starts looking awful. It starts with yellowing tips and leaves, then they get some wierd spots that eventually turn brown. Now all the leaves are a very light green/yellowish colour and the 65 day old plants are only 10cm tall. After all this time I just want to throw them out. Some of the plants have dark green vains, and some do not and are just all out light green/yellow. There are no insects in the growroom, and this issue has happened on my last three grows. Buds eventually turn out airy and very weak. No matter what I have tried the situation does not improve. Ive tried drying them out, feeding liquid nutrients, using only water, compost teas, not giving water for 10 days, and nothing seems to work. I check my notes from previous grows and can't see anything I am doing differently, but all of a sudden my plants just makes me sick looking at them. Sorry for the rant, hope someone can share some insight or similar experiences. Much love.

Hey Jeremy i really love your videos and the passion of explaining and i would have a question maybe for the next FAQ. I once bought nematodes to battle the fungus gnats and i put them into my sprayer and they had only little to no effect, then ive read that they are to sensible for a sprayer. how does it come that you can spray bacteria like EM1 and Rootwise etc and not nematodes? Are they more resilient against that pressure of the sprayer? Now i just water them slowly and gentle in but thats what im asking myself since...yeah a long time. Thanks for your videos! I wish all of you great holidays, a lot of health and pls keep growing for us! Greetings from Germany!

Hello Jeremy, I recently purchased these pucks and have been trying to sprout autos seeds in them . I followed what I saw on the videos and in writing. But it’s hit or miss. My rate is 50% or less. Questions are how and how often do these implanted pucks need water if at all? How long till sprouting and growth show in pucks. Lastly does this product provide any nutritional value to the seed. Should I use a liquid nutritional ? Could you do a follow-up video on this product for those having trouble? I’ve planted a lot of seeds without success and am at a loss for what to do next. Thank you for what help you can provide. Wayne M. Maine.

What would be a good way for me to use it in my "Living soil". Would steamed/cooked shells be good or use the raw unsteamed shell? Also if steamed shell are used would it be a good idea to wash all the seasoning off? Thanks for sharing much love from Maryland

I will pop seeds in a solo cup, directly in soil. 1/2 strength mix of my final soil. I usually get an 80% germ rate and to me that’s survival of the fittest. If your seedlings can’t handle your environment then it wasn’t meant to be. All my survivors have been strong ladies to the end.

Are the coins able to break apart and down better then jiffy brand I’ve noticed some plants growth get stunted by the paper or fabric material not breaking down or allowing g roots to get through easy I have found in past the paper or fiber that held the coir inside it still as it was in soils even after years so I quit using them a long time ago I just use my homemade ezcloner with a few air stones a small 10 gallon aquarium sponge filter and it’s helped a ton helping keep the water cleaner if anyone is using clone contraptions try it out and see if you notice a difference just a 10 gallon aquarium sponge filter it worked great for me and extended the time between water changes in the cloner

i have a question about no till. i used the take and bake recipe for 15 gallon outdoor pots since i have very compact clay soil. the plants seemed to start to starve and i needed to start top dressing very heavily. i plan to at least double the pot size next year so im probably going to dump the pots out and make more soil and mix it all together. are there any drawbacks to doing this?
