As Vitalii said, most if not all can be done with UI only. Code is only there for those who need it. We would really urge you to try it out and give us some specific feedback at the roadblocks you hit, that would help immensely to make it friendly not only for advanced deva but for aspiring newcomers as well

This new UI is way better than the brand coloured UI (bluish) that I remember seeing around a year back of the previous version. That looked amateurish, whereas this looks professional. Kudos!

UI looks promising and now focus on UX. Elementor and especially Bricks has a lot of builder lag when a lot of classes are introduced through external CSS frameworks like ACSS and Core. Address that in the final launch and you will have solved some really troubling issues. Godspeed!

I like that it looks a lot like Elementor, especially the Elements panel. Though it’s a dev focussed builder, it would be nice to have pre-built widgets like in Elementor, such as, CTA’s, Back to top, Floating Buttons, etc, so that designers too can use the tool to build simple websites as it looks well built.

@@Builderius I won't go through each of the features, as AT’s website lists them pretty well (Game changers & Nice to have), however, what I am most impressed by is Maxime’s sense of UI and technical prowess. It feels like a class of its own. That's your competition, Bricks + AT, and if you can beat that and present a superior alternative, then you will strike Gold. Good luck!

Love it. Looks well thought out, with a few rough edges in UI though, which I guess will iron out with the final release. 1) Have an option like Breakdance where one can disable the theme requirement. (Elementor has a bare bones theme with Hello, Bricks is a theme itself and Breakdance doesn’t need a theme at all, which I think is great as no compatibility issues come up). 2) UI in the Template area needs some love. Funky brand colours (Turquoise Blue) and big buttons is a distraction and doesn’t look polished but looks rather crude. 3) Little UI touches goes a long way to endear oneself to the builder. (a) Save notification in Bricks is more endearing than the save notification in Builderius at the bottom right. (b) scroll bar for Navigator looks too wide (c) Bricks uses a wide modal for Class and Variable manager, whereas in Builderius it seems too narrow constrained by the navigator size, not sure if it’s a positive or negative while editing, need to try it out. 4) Template area for external libraries! 5)HTML tag in Navigator is a great idea, however there must be a colour difference between the tag and the given name of the element. Small details, and I know I am nitpicking what looks very well thought out, but these things indeed make working in the builder an enjoyable experience. The goal should be a very well polished UI, and when a person looks at it for the first time, they fall in love with it. Food for thought!

Been playing about with it for a while. I love the UI/UX, the very clean code output, the Class first based workflow and the basic css framework built in so far. I did want to ask though it seems to be very basic when it comes to Flexbox and CSS Grid control in the UI (such as align items, creating the actual grid, column starts and ends, justify content etc...) will this be available in the PRO version?

Im new in the field of webdesign and im from designer background .... my suggestion is ... There should be roadmap of the comming update, the pricing if you guys wanna change it for next 3 years... also put extra feature that lack in bricks or you will lose the only thing is the price for now and eventually it will be changed.... so get feature like combine the builder with cutsom field creation maybe or the builder itself has classes with right click if you have these 2 feature you will win by mile ... good luck guys

@bluetheredpanda Ай бұрын
If you're new and only have a designer background vs. a development one, I don't know whether Builderius would be the best tool for you: the amount of power and control it affords are unprecedented, but it does assume you have some understanding of best practices for development - which in my experience on being initially a designer myself, and interacting with other designers, most do not. (I mean, I would 100% encourage you to try it out, just know there will be a learning curve. If you can get over that, the power it opens up for you will be unrivaled by current market solutions.) That being said, you mentioned classes, so I'll assume you have at least a working knowledge of CSS, and answer accordingly: the selectors model is far more flexible and powerful than mere classes. You can use it for classes, for also complex rules that aren't possible unless writing CSS by hand in other builders, including Bricks. As for the custom fields creation... Builderius has a concept of components. Properties, as shown in the video, are component-scoped custom fields, essentially. That being said if you're talking about custom fields like ACF provides, I would argue it's not the job of the page builder. The CMS should create the data structure, and provide the data, while Builderius or any other page builder is the presentation layer (think, storing data in Airtable, and presenting it with Webflow). Now, with WordPress sadly the CMS doesn't offer a ton of features on that front... but that's why plugins such as ACF, Metabox and ACPT exist. But it's an entirely different ballpark to create that vs. a presentation layer, and I'm personally glad the Builderius team isn't trying to reinvent the wheel - they have enough on their plate as it is.

@@bluetheredpanda thanks for your comment...as i said im very new to this world until now i can't see what differ this builder from something like bricks to be honest. This builder or bricks are working smart by eliminating the use of multiple plugin in the other builders like elementor or divi ... instead of having loop query it is already built-in My suggestion was combining the frequent used plugin so have a smoother workflow.. I cant see any reason for builder to include predefined classes like ACSS or core framework in their builder. However, I understand that cms isnt the builders main goal but it should be to be honest. At the end of the day, the builder main goal is to provide smoother work environment.. Also idk why until now no body created comperhensive solution for page building.. i can solution for hosting ( include secuirity, web hosting, domain etc) .. but noting about building. Im sure any company has mastered all aspect of building, will skyrocket ... all ecommerce plugin, LMS will be templete 😅 i know i have no idea how those works but seems working in my head lol ... to be honest thats why most of people move to something easier like wix studio , it has most of nasseccary components for majority of site types

Don't worry. Builderius is strategically built to grow with you. It will allow you to build using simple methods, and when you are ready to use more advanced features... they will be there for you. Foe example, you can totally just use classes and elements themselves and design like that. If complex selectors are not needed ... don't use them 😄

All dynamic data is served via GraphQL. When you pull a post title, GraphQL query is ran. When you pull a posts array, GraphQL query is ran. So .... everywhere 😉 If you are looking to craft your own queries, that is going to have to wait a bit, as that will be a pro only feature. This alpha is primarily a demo of our future free version and that is naturally a more limited one. Although still powerful enough to build a simple site or blog completely. Hope this clarifies
