Thank you. I have now installed MacOS 14.3.1(Sonoma) on my Z440. 😀 My Quadro P2000 GPU it's not MacOS Compatible, no hardware acceleration. 😑 But I have bought A RX580 8Gb and I have ordered a 2x6pins to 8 pins adapter.

Bought one recently after letting my very old Dell T5400 Dual Xeon go after many years. I have a E5 1620 v4 with 16g ddr4 2133 dimms and a 970 Samsung Pci-e ssd. Going to install another 32g ram and upgrade the cpu as well. Amazing how much these machines can be upgraded. Cool video.

I think this is a great hackintosh I use this computer as my main system and it's great! Only thing that sucks is the cooler isn't the best for the Cpu I wonder if there is a better cooler that would work perfectly in this.

I have a z440 with a 2666v3. It works but the turbo boost is disabled by default, does it work on yours ? Cheers

2 things. 1) make sure the chipset drivers are fully installed. They do not automatically install from windows. 2) check the bios. It's possible that turbo boost was disabled in the bios.

What gpu would be good to pair with this that isn’t bottlenecked? Used and less than 200.

Anything less than a 3070ti should be fine from Nvidia, and a 6800 from AMD. In my own system I have a 2060 and it matches up nicely, but there's definitely CPU headroom. Your biggest issue is going to be the PCIe 3.0 spec.

@@drg19841 Why, For the graphics card it doesn't matter if you are using PCIe 3.0 oder 4.0. The differences in speed are minimal.

nice build, but ditch the Sandisk drive. You can by HP Turbo Drive G2 for cheap on e-bay, which gives you loads more throughput than a 6GBps Sata ssd.

That google drive link is useless, it stripped out all the Kexts for example. Upload a ZIP of your EFI folder instead. Also DO NOT STRIP OUT SMBIOS/Model data other than you serial
