Man, this one hits hard. As much as it sucks to see the fate of this car, we all learn from our mistakes. Certainly exited for what's to come with new projects.

I understand how much it probably hurts you to think about the eclipse You put a lot of time, sweat and hard work into that car. That's what made me love your content so much. Your fabrication work is stellar and I would absolutely love to see you take on a project like this again with this level of fabrication. Drift Truck V2 is amazing, but the Eclipse just hit different. Looking forward to seeing what you do in the future, especially with the new Accord

What a tragedy. My buddies mom had a Talon when we were in High School and we would get in a lot of trouble in that thing. I can't believe what we thought was fast back then is nothing now.

Always loved these. Good looking but understated car and a light platform. What held them back is what holds back so many affordable Japanese sports cars, the drivetrain layout. The torque steer and the wheelhop just kills a lot of rhe fun, not to mention the understeer. I always wanted to make one of those 1990s era Japanese hatches rear engined. Love to see it done. Hate to see it die.

I usually don’t bother to comment or like anyones stuff on here But you’re truly a super intelligent guy, an artist and one of the hardest workers Ive ever seen. Sorry that happened to the eclipse. I actually watched all the builds on here from the beginning. I usually hate car content and don’t really care what anyone drives But you’re truly a master of your craft and its a different experience watching the knowledge and work that you put in.

Yeah it's sad how something that can take so much time and effort can be gone in such a short time. It's the same thing when I see a house fire. It's gone in maybe an hour, and that family had decades worth of memories as well as expensive things they've saved up for over many years in there, all gone.

I think this was kind of a blessing in disguise. This was a such a complex build to be a give away car. The person that would win it would probably not have the skills to maintain it. If you want to go with this car give away thing, the car needs to be actually usable, not a one off example of something almost built from scratch. This was a true work of art that you should've kept :-(

Man I wish I had the time, money and expertise to do unique and incredible projects like this. They go beyond even my own imagination, just because my thought process doesn't extend much beyond bolt-ons and modifying/replacing parts in existing configurations. Especially on a vehicle as comparatively basic such as this. Edit: The clear casing on the timing apparatus is a nice touch! The Ring Brothers always blow my mind in a similar fashion. To be on par in some ways with them is quite an achievement. Shout out to AutotopiaLA, btw, for showcasing incredible builds along the lines of this one.

That sucks that you lost the car! Been through this build before. Interesting choices on not making it a twin engine, The exhaust is kind of weird, I do like the roll cage and firewall. Wondering why you didn't do air-to-water intercooling instead of bringing it up to the front. Curious how you locked the rear wheel steering. I personally put a steel dowel rod through the original steering rack and then welded all of it shut. I didn't catch if it was manual or automatic. It seemed like it was manual. At least it sounded like that. Cool build.
