Building a cabin with friends, from start to finish

An update to a previous DIY video, which chronicled a year of camp vibes and cabin building, but didn't include the interior buildout. This video covers our cabin build from start to finish.

Great simple design. I love the mono-pitch roof, great kitchen layout, great little woodburning stove, cosy loft, good use of drywall - you didn't go overboard (no pun intended ;-) on the wood... And that porch! A great example of how less can be so much more. Enjoy!

I'm from India and I'm really curious about how things work there at your place. Like can anyone build a cabin on any mountain and use the trees and woods? Is it state owned property or anyone who love to build a cabin can do so on any mountain? As for the cabin, I totally love the design. And to build it together with your friends! You guys are not just building a cabin, you're also building lots of memories while being productive and having quality time. ❤

We have public land here that’s for public use. But you can’t go milling trees and building a cabin on it. You’d need private property for that and we own this property.

Beautiful project! Is there any reason why you didn't use ground screws instead of concrete for the foundations? Can't help but think this could have saved a ton of labour, money and ecological impact.
