Muchas gracias Pablo! es un cambio importante de formato en comparación a los primeros vídeos, a ver si gusta. La verdad es que se la recomiendo a todo el mundo, para puntear es increíble y emite mucho menos humo que el electrodo. Yo la uso con CO2 (el de los bares) y va muy bien por poco dinero. Un saludo!

It can be nicer to use bricks round the edge of the forge rather than a permanent steel barrier, that way if you have to heat a long piece of work you can move the bricks so you can slide the piece as far as you need into the fire without being stopped by the edge of the forge.

I built one similar to it 2 years ago and found the air holes like his would melt and burn the steel pot bottom and clinkers would collect over the holes making the fire impossible to keep hot. I drilled the center out and in the down tube built a clinker breaker using small triangles of 1/2 in plate in the base. World of difference, now I don't have to pull my fire apart when clinkers for and can keep the fire going long enough to finish knives and other projects.

Hola Carlos, muchas gracias por tu comentario. Yo lo encontré como "turbina/soplador/ventilador manual para fragua". De todas formas, te recomiendo utilizar uno eléctrico o un secador de pelo. A la hora de trabajar es mucho más cómodo. Un saludo.

Gibt es auch mal ein Video im Einsatz? Die geschweißte Feuerschale sehen ich nämlich bei einem richtigem Schmiedefeuer als Schwachpunkt, da das ja sicherlich bloß normaler Baustahl ist und der nicht für diese enorme Hitze eines Steinkohle/ Koks Feuers ausgelegt ist...

Does anybody know what metals he's using for each part? I'm a beginner at forging and would really really like to be able to get a coal forge up. I am trying to figure out which metals will be heat resistant, and useful for the areas it'll be used in.

You have to use simple iron (mild steel) that have a very high melting temperature. Nonetheless with a coal forge you're gonna heat the firepot critically, so I recommend to use just for that part a very thick iron plate, at least 1cm better if 1,5
