In twist of fate... or due to meticulous world planning (lol), today I am building the Observatory using the Sims 3 Into the Future's rabbithole building. And there's more to it than what meets the eye!

Thank you yet again for such kind words 😊. When I was creating this lot, I thought "wouldn't it be cool if there was a secret laboratory of some kind?". Clearly I let my imagination run a little wild with this one but I think that if players choose to download this one when I release it that they'll be happy with the additional gameplay that comes with it or at least I hope they will lol 😅.

Thank you! I have a tremendous respect for the Half Life series and can't wait until Half Life 3 releases (JK! 🤣). Strangely enough it was never a source of inspiration when I was doing this build but now that you've pointed it out, it seems so obvious to me 😅.

i had an amazing time recently playing into the future, it has so much to it!~ you get to meet your sims Decedents and that family changes depending on what you do in the present time. they also have lots of interesting Quests to do that takes you through the into the future world, and designing a robots and adding personality chips to them is pretty interesting. i never really got to experience into the future when i was playing sims 3 when it first came out, my computer couldn't handle all the packs at the time so once i got into the future my game was unplayable. love your build series so far, your world is coming along amazingly. ive been trying to make my own world but i keep running into Issues with CAW, i really want to get 'edit in world' to work but it hasn't been, overall my sims 3 game has been acting up, i dunno if its got corrupted files or broken CC somewhere but its been crashing a lot. i plan to start a new World soon! i just really wanna get CAW to work and function properly. and my guess is im gonna need to reinstall the sims, removing all CC, i feel that is conflicting with CAW.

CAW is a strange animal all on its own. Even during this series, CAW decided to bug on me and also removed my ability to access the EIG mode as well after I had downloaded CC from the Sims 3 store. What I found worked best for me was finishing the world and exporting it with "empty" lots; and then just building the actual lots in-game. What you _can_ do from there is export the save file after building all of your lots. The only issue with this is that you have to be finished with everything you need to do in the CAW before exporting it which I know can be challenging to a world creator's creative flow 💯. I have never exported a save myself so I can't be sure on the technicalities behind it however when I do eventually build all of the lots, I'll look into that as a possibility. But that's FAR future thinking lol. Another little tutorial that I think could help, might be this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJ2zh2Z3eNSLe7M I have never used this tutorial myself (and in fact, I actually never saw it when I was troubleshooting my EIG issues) so I can't vouch for it but just from the outside looking in, it looks like it might be something that could work 🤷‍♂?

love the build! i wonder, did i miss the science skill object (like a synthesizing lab) from university or did you not add it? seems quite fitting to me!

I actually don't think that I added it and I don't know why I didn't 🤔. Thank you so much for pointing that out, I'm about to record for another neighborhood editing episode to release sometime in March so I'll certainly add this to my list of things to edit if it isn't in there already 💯.
