Building A Cosy Hidden Mountain Base - DayZ

Today, I set out to build a cosy hidden mountain base in the lands of Chernarus, however I only had 2 days to build it as the new 1.20 update was around the corner! I met some nice people, and some not so nice people along the way!
This is a completely raw unscripted adventure, aside from cinematics.

Great video. I especially love the base building videos. Maybe a small tip. When the screen vibrates after a bomb impact, then you are definitely in the gas zone. So, if your screen shakes, better run.

Good video again, thanks for sharing. A small gotcha regarding the pronounciation of the village Staroye. I usually (always) hear it pronounced the way you do; sta-ro-y, with the silent e in the end. The beginning 'sta' and 'ro' are spot on, last ye (E in cyrillic name CTAPOE, i.e. "yeh") should be pronounced like ye in the english word 'yet', so 'sta-ro-ye'. Just food for tought. And I will silently shed a single and manly tear of joy the first time I hear it pronounced the OG way. Looking forward for your next video 🙂

Finding food on official is super easy I can start fresh and fill my backpack with food within 20 minutes. Just find a few fruit trees or a place mushrooms spawn. Wait near the area for 5 minutes till it spawns food. Pick up all the food run away 100 meters then straight back you can repeat this over and over till you have enough food for weeks. It will continually respawn as long as you're in the area. This only works on official servers. Most community servers even the ones labeled as vanilla it won't work. Also you must pick up the rotten food and throw it away from the area before new food respawns but it will.

Unless you already know this but if you are struggling for food most trees it toens spawn apples pears or plums it's easy to just run up the the trunk and open the inventory and see if there are any in the ground

If you find myshkino tents, it’s up the hill from there, there’s a pub building south of it, so if you find that, go north and you should find it!

Yes if youre at the dam stay on that side go up the mountain then north.. You'll see it as soon as you get to the top and there's 2 heli crash spawns up there to. It's on the west side almost at the edge of the map.

Sprinting uses more food, so I conserved the energy, I think I would’ve died if I sprinted or at least lost more health

Not sure what DayZ game you're playing but I've never played one that has zombies in it, there's infected humans in the game. The "infected" in DayZ are alive humans that have been infected with a virus that makes them bloodthirsty so they're more like vampires than they are zombies. I wish all you guys doing these videos would get this straight and stop calling them zombies. Zombies are humans that have died and been reanimated, not alive humans that have been infected by a disease.

Every base I've had has been busted open. Had a garage base with 8 walls and they hit through them all. Started just throwing crates in lakes and under large pine trees. Haven't been found yet...
