Today we will be reviewing a 1969 Ford F250 that is utilizing the chassis of a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. The swap is utilizing the full cab of the truck and taking patch panels from the crown vic for the brake master cylinder as well as the HVAC unit. Suspension is Viking coilers in the front and RideTech Coils, adjusters and shocks in the rear. Braking has been upgraded to Mustang GT500 rotors (13') and Corvette C5 calipers. Interior is push button start for a little flare in combination with full TMI interior and flaming river column. Enjoy

Clean job congrats on a cool ride. On my 79 I just used the crown vic front suspension upgraded of course and a four link in the back upgraded of course. I beefed up the small block and added a top loader. I kept the body stock only with new black paint but I like your choices all the crazy wiring on new cars was not for me I like simple even keeping mine a long bed with all the trim. Oh yeah great choice on tires and wheels in that respect we were on the same page. Again excellent job may you get many years of enjoyment out her. Looking forward to the next one keep up the good work. one

Do you do all of this in a 2 car garage? You're my hero. I'm building a 62 Falcon for drag n drive stuff in my 2 car garage. I spend almost as much time cleaning the garage as working to keep the wife happy about not tracking welding/grinding/sanding dust in.

Ive build a few of these trucks myself. I was looking at the details! The truck looked great first of all. Could you tell me more about about the AC box you used on the inside i noticed it looked way smaller than the factory crown vic box! Did you cut it down or what box did you use on the inside. Thank!

In the middle of this same swap on a 72 f250. I’m really mimicking what you’ve done looks fantastic. What did you do to the interior AC box? Did you have to modify at all? Beautiful build! How precise did you have to be with splicing in the pieces of Vic firewall, or could you explain how you figured out how to place them?
@FactoryFreshChannel
@FactoryFreshChannel 2 жыл бұрын
The HVAC portion didn't have to be precise, really just test fit where you want everything to hang under the dash. As for the brake booster/master that dictated where the brake peddle would be located in the cab. But overall not too difficult.

Considering a swap like this with a 79 f100. I love how you integrated all the Crown Vic stuff into the firewall, HVAC was one of my big questions. Question, what did you do for the gauge cluster?
@FactoryFreshChannel
@FactoryFreshChannel 2 жыл бұрын
This got a Dakota digital dash, but you can cut down the Vic cluster and make it look pretty good. Check out my other Vic swap video. That’s what I did on that one

It’s raptor liner. I color matched the cab portions and a custom color for the bed. I scuffed the bed etch primer then sprayed. Raptor liner is really versatile and easy to work with. I love that stuff

I'm wondering how much of the crown vic harness you used. After rewiring my 2009 engine. It almost seems easy to go stand alone using the stock pcm.
@FactoryFreshChannel
@FactoryFreshChannel Жыл бұрын
Yeah it is and would do it that way in the future. Way easier than factory chassis wiring harness. I used a aftermarket 12 or 20 circuit chassis harness with stock pcm to run the engine/tranny.
@90zuk4
@90zuk4 Жыл бұрын
With the standalone harness and stock PCM do you run into PATs issues? Or is there a few wires you jump at the connector to override it? Or does it not matter with the standalone harness?
@FactoryFreshChannel
@FactoryFreshChannel Жыл бұрын
PATS varies on what you do and don’t use from the factory harness ECU. Worst case scenario you can turn it off with Hp tuners.

You win the best build award! I subscribed to your channel. Do you know when the first crown Vic swap was done? 1 of any notoriety? I'm curious because people laughed at me around 2010. I suggested taking a 1956 crown Vic four-door and put it onto a police interceptor crown Vic frame. Now somebody else might have thought of this but I came to me as I was looking at this beautiful 55 or 56 crown Vic four door. The car was beautiful. The engine transmission had been sourced out for some other project years before. I did measurements on the wheelbase and other items of concern.

@@FactoryFreshChannel somebody probably said that you ruined a good Ford pickup and maybe somebody else said you ruined a crown Vic. Sounds crazy but I do run into some people who like to crown vics and want to see them stay the way they are. Honestly it's the creation and the path to that point that makes the vehicle worth something. We all know that if it's a Chevy truck right now they bring in more money. But money aside when you start out with a better truck for this you have less patching in the product is better at the end. Man I've always despised Fox body mustangs. But if somebody has one and they're doing something with it and it's a car they want, I will encourage him to the Days end and beyond. It's all about keeping the hobby alive and find a new avenues to be creative.

And what you do with all thee extra wiring like the rear doors wiring trunk wiring basically anything behind the 2 front doors

You can keep or remove the emissions stuff under the rear truck you won’t need to flash computer. As for all the chassis harness most can be removed. You need to keep the fuel pump and inertia switch which is in the trunk
