I have lived in several American apartments, of different ages, with fireplaces. I've had both wood-burning and gas fireplaces. Beautiful build. I love the creativity that comes when builders use something reclaimed like silos. It makes a very nice change from the big rectangle style of apartment blocks. Based on color schemes, I would live on the 2nd or 4th floor, though they are all lovely.

I really love when something old and unused gets used in a new way and with where you built it, it looks like it used to be silo storage for the docks :) edit: and now that i've made it to the end i would like the more industrial and black apartment on the ground floor! that's just one of my styles but i think the other apartments are super gorgeous too~

This is absolutely my favorite build, and I am not a huge fan of non-CC builds. Absolutely incredible. I love the custom-made "apartments" in the game, and I think this one in particular is so unique with the addition of the silos.

I'm so happy the elevators work well now. I often build apartments where I leave the unused floors empty. I put the elevator on the floor where I live and that's where sims will spawn. Right in front of their frontdoor. I love building apartments.

for myself i would choose the third floor with the gym, but in general i obviously like the penthouse best, that view is sick and something we don't usually see in that lot, awesome stuff

Ideas for rooftops/upper level!: Rooftop bar, I'm not sure if there is a way to make a fire pit somehow but some apartments have those on top!, large rooms that can be used by groups for activities (real world game nights, meetings, parties bc the apartment is too small to host) Bottom level: communal coffee maker area replicating a real world cafe

I was so excited for rounded walls when they came out. Then they quickly became my second nightmare. My 1st nightmare is roofs. Especially on round walls so I just use platforms. Also this looks amazing.

I feel like this is a perfect build for Evergreen Harbor. Because it's almost like a recycle/reuse type of build being it's using silos. I love it.

Just catching up & I LOVE ❤️ this!!! I just did a reno of James' food truck lot... pretending that when the Burger Boys moved out that a couple pulled in some shipping containers and made a beautiful open air farm to table diner so it could take advantage of all that space where the parking lot was for plants, garden, animal shed & chicken coup. Carls' mod let's you use all that produce in the restaurant. He said he'll even fix it in the next update so I can trade livestock on a retail lot which will be perfect! Your build would be awesome to add nearby instead of the apartment they are living in and the other chef & waiters could live there too! It all fits together so well!

Gameplay wise, I'd prefer the bottom floor, for convenience. Aesthetic wise, I'd prefer the top floor. So cheerful :) Beautiful build!

There is a event place near me that uses an old factory. They hired artists to paint and decorate the massive silos. it is realy cool, I wish there was wall art like that, that you can use on round walls

I love how you placed the Eco Lifestyle windows (the triangular ones) here and there on the concrete wall! Very original! 😊 I prefer the apartment in black and red but I wouldn't live on ground level. I never tried the curved walls, they seem like such a pain but look so cool! The top apartment for the view and decor wise I liked all of them but probably my favs are the darker asthetic or the pastel one. I would have loved to have seen a bath in the main bathrooms rather than a shower in both personally and would have loved the top one to have been a penthouse. That would have been incredible but this build is epic. Your builds just keep getting better and better. I bet James will love it :)

I work in an architectural office but not as an architect myself, so I don't have a lot of say in the designs (not that the architects have that much more say in anything) and your videos always make my emotions very ambiguous. On one hand I love most of your builds and they are just so unique and beautiful but on the other hand it makes me sad because nothing we build ever looks even close to being as beautiful or special as your builds in the sims. And it's not because it wouldn't be possible but simply because it would be "more expensive"... But you really have a wonderful style, honestly!

These are beautiful! Could you do a quick play through to see how they would work? Like how would you make other sims live in the other apartments without going in yours all the time? I tried making Brownstone townhouses, I finished them on the outside but they were way too big on the inside! Each town home could easily fit 8 sims!

It’s a challenge to get the building to be a perfect size for gameplay… but for it to also still look like an apartment building. Hard balance!

This video is why EA should allow us to build apartments in the sims just like in TS2 and TS3, thou TS2 was and still is the best. If not build, then apartment shells where we can't change the outside shape, but we can just change the rest. They could allow us to have as many apartments on the inside as we want, but only choose 4 of them to playable, while the rest are for townies. I do hope you do something like this again. If you do, maybe you could do one where the 2 ground floor apartments have their second floor in the basement, while the two 2nd floor apartments have there other floor on the 3rd floor.

I like the entire apartment and I would live on the 4th floor with colorful vibe. This would be even better if the entrance receiving area would not look like an abandoned building. It looks scary when you enter the main door because all you see are stairs and gray wall, overall that was an amazing building.

Love this, Deli! Just a pointer, which I'm sure you are aware but it might have slipped your mind. Those cabinets you used in the kitchen... if you have moveobjects on, you could use the 9 & 0 keys to manipulate objects to put them on those shelves. Can't wait to fill this apartment with families!

Also, side note on the fireplace thing. My daughter's apartment in Arkansas has fireplaces in them. They're small fireplaces but are really nice touches to add a more homey feeling to apartment living.

Man, I suddenly want to do a tiny house challenge converting the apartments available in my city into Sims 4. Needless to say they are not NEARLY as nice as this one! Love those silos. I've tried to use rounded rooms in builds done from real floor plans before and had a real nightmare of a time. Personally I'd probably choose either the dark one but not on the bottom floor or the penthouse level one but without the kids' stuff. I'm not a huge fan of neutrals in my own space, my ultimate favourite is to have a lot of colour.

Because dumpsters are not common around the world I would like to explain something because I know builders usually want accuracy in their builds. The two slots on the short ends fit on the arms of the trash collecting truck. The truck arms fit into the slots and turns the dumpster upside down and dumps the contents into the back of the truck. So, dumpsters cannot be inside or be fenced in on the front side.

In especially colder climates in America, fireplaces are pretty common in apartments. I had a gorgeous apartment with vaulted ceilings and a gas fireplace with a decently affordable rent for a while. They hiked the prices a ton and I had to leave the city, but they are common. My favorite was to have the fireplace going when it was snowing. Sadly, the fireplace broke about halfway through our lease and they claimed there was nothing wrong 🙄

Wow this is really good, and I noticed while James puts his toilets ALWAYS in the middle on a wall, with the toilet paper BEHIND the toilet, you put yours in the corner and put the toilet paper on the wall next to it, which is the way I prefer it myself! I have never lived or visited a house where the toilet was in the middle of a wall, so every time James does that I get so annoyed, lol! Because I imagine the Sims having to twist their selves around to get the toilet paper every time, lol! It's like James likes to prank and torture Sims that way, lol! This made me think of a great Australian tv series I watched years ago and still like to rewatch even, The Secret Life Of Us, where all these people lived in the same apartment building, called St Kilda, in St Kilda, Australia! They now have the series on Amazon Prime, so I can rewatch it there! I even tried to make a Sims version myself, even made the cast, well those from the 4th season mostly, since I watched it originally because I'm a HUGE fan of Anna Torv, who was in only that season! I even made the cast in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, lol! I was a bit obsessed! 😁
