I was thinking the same thing, usually the frame goes under the steering and stuff. Use cradles for the top of the suspension to lower it. It's going to be really top heavy this way.

It’s the best way to get the car lower but it will creat some big issues for a center mounted seat and clearance around the driveshaft/torque tube

I was kinda looking forward to a B is for Build pickup/sand rail. Needs a drop frame for sure, excited to see what the next step is if your trying to stick to the rendering. You remained faithful for the most part with the LS Huracan; this is a blank slate.

Hey Chris I think you should consider the placement of the engine..... Because with the single seater and the engine in the front, the tunnel will interfere with the driving position.

they are 5x120 or 5X4.75 common chevy pattern and most frames are stepped front and rear on the side rails that would help with the heights.

Nothing stops you from notching the frame and "raising" the part of the frame where your super brackets bolt on.

tweaking the specs (voltage and wire speed for MIG) is literally the first thing you need to learn aside from stabilizing the "gun" as you go along. It's been a while since I've welded with MIG, but my job requires me to teach others to use MIG and it's so surprising that most ppl don't have any intuition on how it works (most ppl forget to turn on the gas b4 welding 😔)....

with the bolts on the box frame jimmyoaks on his rear wheel drive honda he drilled a bigger hole and slid in some round tube and welded it in to make it stronger and not crush when tightning the bolts could help you maybe

Pretty sure you should have Z'd the frame for this. Would definitely get things in better shape plus will put the frame rails below you so if you was to hit something you have protection between you and the ground.

Its seems like you need to make a CUSTOM front suspension clearly from your render. If you wont go that route front chassis needs to be chopped, Lowered than welded onto the front subframe.

You could always lower the center frame section in the front and Z the rear frame where the suspension bolts in to put the rails and overall rideheight where you want it... Also, are you doing the torque tube eliminator and making this midengined?

Z the frame on both ends. Would make it less like a suburban. you could even just Z the wing portions on the front that the suspension bolts to. Making the outer frame higher then the inner frame portion. Crush sleeves welded into the frame where it bolts. Would work better then plating the frame where they bolt. Easy to make and use.

For the bolts holding the subframes to the chassis rails, how hard would it be for you to drill those holes out larger and slide some heavy wall tubing in there and weld them in? Not having an anti-crush support in there would make me a little nervous.

You might want to revise the direction. If the length of the car is way longer, there should be a smaller angle difference between the wheels when the wheels are turned.

What if you were to raise the part of the frame that shoots out and mounts to the subframe so you could raise the point where the subframe is mounted, effectively lowering the rest of the frame?

Those 5x120s will cause vibration at speed I am sure you will replace them by then but just figured you should know that so you don't try and use those exact wheels long term

Just gonna point out that most ladder frames I've seen have the lower control arm on the frame and the upper above the frame. You got that backwards here and the only fix is a drop leg in the frame. I respect your ambition but this thing is gonna turn like a school bus.

The only way that frame is going to be as low as the rendering is to flip the subframes and suspend the frame from the bottom instead of the top. By my speculation it’s about 18 inches to high
