About 20 years ago I first saw your videos, and since then working with wood has become my favorite thing to do. Without exaggeration, I can say that you are my teacher.

This table is an absolute banger! That madrone burl is outrageous.

This was my first episode of Woodworks that I watched. I was fascinated with the bent lamination technique, and it made so much sense to me. Also, it hooked me and really started my woodworking hobby with aspirations to make a similar table one day. Still working my way there but took a detour into woodturning. Thank you, David.

Stephen, thanks very much for telling me about your journey! I have to admit that Woodturning is most of what I do these days as well. I still build furniture but woodturning goes sooo much faster!

Hi David - I'm catching up on your videos and this one was fun to watch. You do a great job explaining the various steps as you complete this beautiful table. I've made a few demilune tables using cherry and birds eye maple on the top. Your choice of madrone burl is perfect. Thanks for sharing these classic videos.

Gorgeous. The vacuum press really does a good job with the veneer.

Great episode as always! I use the Potassium Dichromate on African Mahogany quite a bit but, always have to follow with some sort of top coat to achieve the final look. This piece looks great with no mention of another top coat. Just curious if you added a poly or shellac on this one?

Thanks Kev, and yes I did apply multiple coats of a hand rubbed oil finish over Potassium Dichromate. I use seal a cell and arm r seal.
