There's glue/setting spray that's meant for reefs! If anyone is considering doing this, I highly recommend using extra thick reef glue/spray from somewhere like Bulk Reef Supply

Danny this is beautiful. I love it when people have awesome aquascaping ideas. I like how the tray is vented, it's really well thought out and clean.

Looks great but the Glue with the hardener is not for acrylic, for stones is is perfect. I use it for all my scapes and frags too. The stones will be loose when you shake them

Danny what is that glue that you have used?

How did you attach the platform to the back glass?
@DannysAquariums2 жыл бұрын
Using the silicone! :)
@garrycole91872 жыл бұрын
Don't need to spray that much of the accelerator, just one spray will do. Hopefully you wash it before putting in the water. I spray it on when I am attaching a frag and I immediately dip it in clean salt water before putting it into the tank.

I'd like to see sps in different colors on top and sun corals and non photosynthetic gorgonians on the underside hanging downwards

Maybe some meat corals in the sand bed like trachys, acanthos, scollys, etc and SPS on the rock work. SPS would get nice higher lighting up top and the meat corals would still be okay and getting some nice shading to where they don’t get over lit
@SA8N2 жыл бұрын
It looks amazing, my only concern would be the space under woulkd not get enough light for corals.

Destined to Fail. Acrylic to Glass Bonds fail under loads not even close to that.
@luker9824 Жыл бұрын
Agreed, I love the look but the bond will not support that weight over time. The only way I would consider this would be to bend a thick piece (to minimise flex) of acrylic and silicon as much of the other side of the 90 degree bend to the back wall as space would permit. Poor bond but additional surface area might do the trick.

I think you should add some shrimps and I think macro algae should be nice too (≧▽≦)
@DannysAquariums2 жыл бұрын
There’s a sea horse tank besides it, that tank will have a lot of macro algae. We may stock this tank with some cool premium corals! :D
