Gotta love the attitude with the resin. "we're just gonna test this new resin brand on this commision/sponsored diorama for Warhammer Fest, so that we know if its good enough for our Titans"

I want to commend you guys on your editing during the Grand Reveal. Matching each camera cut the the beat isn't easy. I think people don't realize how much goes into editing a piece like this. Great job!
@fredericthalheimer3811 Жыл бұрын
Yes the editing in Squidmars videos is art tiself by now. I can also only acknowledge for the high quality of work on your channel. And I need to consider to change my color scheme for the octarius terrain, as the colorful pattern looks total lit. 🤩

Seeing this at Warhammer Fest, it was even more amazing than this video shows. It looks really epic here, but seeing it up close was so freaking amazing, and having seen the behind the scenes here made it even more amazing. Great work, really great work!

I always love how you give a clean frame to your pieces. It's so cool to be commissioned like that because it pushes you to create something that you wouldn't necessarily consider doing otherwise !

Played Warpforge today at WarhammerFest and it was pretty good, it's basically their game legions with more factions and more mechanics, ranged or melee attack instead of just attack.

Those burning barrels could have two-three LED's that flicker and pulsing, each have its own timing, creating this feeling of a burning. Pulsing effects could be applied to the toxic lake as well, like radiating slowly, but not dimming out, just slight gradient transition, giving this pulsing toxic effect as well as this motion of the liquid simulated through LED' effects.
@fredericthalheimer3811 Жыл бұрын
these minidioramas look amazing. I directly queued that video in.

I love ork stuff! You can convert anything you what and it's looking great and orky. It's the reason why I started an ork kill team war band at some time. And of course you're doing great work! Could give you some hints how to create an illumination without having this spots in the pond. Try to use some thicker Plexiglas, bring in the light from the side on a polished surface and sand the bottom surface of the pond to get the light out. You'll get a much smoother and more equal light effect

At first, I was like... Good luck to paint anything orkish in a 4 days lol! When you blocked few colors, I was thinking, that you definitely missing deadline... And than you just spray over brown enamel, remove excess with white spirit and woah. This is, honestly, absolute genius trick to paint rusty terrain. I cannot describe how huge this lifehack actually is.

@squidmar I'm really surprised you guys don't use a vacuum chamber for your resin pours. Even removing the dissolved gases before pour would likely make a real improvement to the reliability. Obviously, with the size of your work, vacuum chambering the whole diorama isn't really practical, but if you could, you'd likely be able to use fast cure resin and get great results.
