One fatal flaw in your design is using GET variables. You *should* be using POST. The username and password should not appear in the URL.

You’re 100% correct. Should’ve made a disclaimer on the focus of this video. Will address this in the part 2 video. Thanks for pointing this out!

Is it a minimalistic theme for GoLand? It looks really similar to other JetBrains IDE.

Regardless this is a an example that focuses on auth... when creating an API dou you recommend the using of context? I couldn't find any video in your channel where you talk about the go context package and recommended practices to use the concept of context.
@GolangDojo2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t looked into it. In the pipeline now!

I've been looking at go-guardian for authentication for use with Kubernetes, OAuth2, etc. Have you used this before? I would LOVE to see a video digging into this.

Thank you very much..!!

Only thing I would suggest here is if doing authentication then a form needs to be a post request and not a get request
@GolangDojo2 жыл бұрын
You’re correct! Will address this as well as other caveats in part 2. Thanks for the comment!

In terms of microservices in Go, Do you prefer using OOP or Functional?
@GolangDojo2 жыл бұрын
I’ve never written fully functional code in production. It seems it can be quite limiting though
