The farm i work at has hay feeders just like the one you built. I like the barn too. You picked a great spot to live in the Ozarks. I watched your intro video and had to sub. Can't wait till you get the goats.

Cow Person - wow, thank you so much! We subbed you as well and will visit your channel. We would love to have a mini jersey some day but it’s probably a pipe dream for now, lol! Living in the southern Ozarks is awesome. Thank you for the positive feedback and thank you for watching!

Great feeder! I wish I’d seen this before I built the one I did. The goats use it as a bed and jungle gym 😂

Nice job! We used an iron porch rail turned over and attached to the wall.

Awesome job! I really like the goat set up. We are planning to build a similar hay feeder, glad I found this. The window in to put the hay is fantastic. Most days I feel like I enjoy wrestling my girls to give feed and hay! 🤣

Will your goats be dehorned? That is a very nice feeder. Simple and functional. Horns always add a hazard to any kind of feeder though. Our sheep are polled thank goodness.👍🏼
@OzarkMountainGoats5 жыл бұрын
Ours will be disbudded or possibly naturally polled. I would like to have polled ones if possible, so we don’t have to do the disbudding! Thank you for watching and have a great weekend!

Very nicely done! I bet our donkeys would like something like that!! They just throw their hay all over the ground pretty much...:)

Thank you- we’re hoping it works well for us! I think goats are notorious for dropping hay on the ground as well and then they won’t eat it, lol. Thank you for watching!

What are the dimensions please
@OzarkMountainGoats Жыл бұрын
I'll get them for you today.
@OzarkMountainGoats Жыл бұрын
The dimensions are around 32" high and 32" wide. But you can make it any size you want. I wouldn't go any less than 32" high because it keeps goats from going over the top. You can make the bottom off floor about a foot. Hope this helps
