Paul and cornhole if you go past the nether portal island there are 2 islands and the 2nd island has sheep but your gonna need a lot of slabs and in the nether past the 2nd portal not the one you guys come through and you will find a nether fortress and it has a whole stack of diamonds

Build the platform out of half slabs, mobs don't spawn on them, and they'll only spawn where the full blocks are

A lot of skyblock packs have a mining dimension portal, a lot similar to the nether portal, that you can make to go through to go to a dimension with nothing but resources.

Ghast can only spawn in 5x5 area. So maybe if you make the area for the Pigman smaller, the ghast won’t spawn.

For your original spawner if you enclose it completely they will spawn day and night and if you build up to the top of the enclosure and stand above the hole they will fall down the hole and use ladders the same way you have done but build up so you can access the top and put ladders up that
