The strings are going the wrng way on the tension pins. They should be like an "S" with the pin on the lower loop of the S and the tuning peg on the upper loop

yeah, harps are expensive! glad i got this one tho, it’s a really nice harp (especially for a beginner like me 😊)!

If you use masking tape on the faces that aren't supposed to have glue on them, the glue will ooze out onto the tape, rather than be absorbed into the wood, so you can apply finish more easily without having to apply extra at those joints.

Hello! I have to make a string instrument for a class project and really wanted to make a harp! I want to make it from scratch though, since that is the project. Gary Tanger i used the tuner that it came with and with a tuning app on my phone! i would change the orientation of the strings on the hooks (check the pinned comment). glad you enjoyed the vid :)

hello! “Cardboard Fireside Harp” is the name of the product on the website since the soundbox is cardboard. in the music industry, “cardboard” harps only refer to the soundbox, not the whole thing :)
