We are building a ladybug farm so we can have ladybugs to release into the greenhouses when needed. The wind was really blowing that day so I recommend turning on the closed captioning CC on the video on so you know what we are doing. The ladybugs are doing well in the aquarium and we do give them water everyday and we do add new fresh leaves to their enclosure. As well as give them new apple slices when necessary.

It would have been much easier to set up your enclosure before you placed the ladybugs inside of it.

How are cut down plants able to bloom? I think you meant to say i cut down already bloomed flowers. Because bloom stage takes a few months to finish.

They make wind guards. When I make enough money to buy one, I'll send it to you.

I had the wind guard on the camera turned on but it didn't made a difference.

the cheap ones don't do anything. if its a foam head then it wont stop wind as the foam heads are not wind stoppers they are breath stoppers. They wont stop a plosive so they wont stop wind. you need the ones that are all fluffy & are made with fake fur & acoustic lining. they cost a lot more & depending on your mic they can cost upto $70 they will actually stop the wind sounds. this sounds like it was recorded from the phone as the wind sound is of wind blowing past the hole. or in this case the wind blowing past the hole that the cameras mic is reading from.

I need some advice i recently found a nymph and I took it home, today it hatched into a bootiful lil lady bug. Can it be set free? I looked into the life cycle and it states they would be looking to hibernate now, I know its not full hibernation but can they hatch then go straight into hibernation? I don't really have any bugs at hand to feed it. Is fruit sustainable until I can find some ladybug food? Would a large maggot be okay to put in the tub? Or can I just release it in the garden?

I wouldn't release it, if you live in a cold climate. You can feed ladybugs any non acidic fruit, they like apples. You want to keep a moist "not wet" paper towel in for it.

I had paid for them to be sent to me 2 or 3 years in a row. NOW they are trying to winter over Inside my HOME.. This is not working well. I hate killing them but I also got a bad bite from one so the rash from that made me want to find some way to have them stay alive but NOT be free to fly all over my house.

Isopods eat anything. If the isopods can get to the eggs I'm sure they would eat ladybug eggs. But they probably wouldn't eat adults or nymphs

That's what the paper towels are for, you want to keep them wet. If you put a dish of water in with the ladybugs they will drown.

They like apples, raisins any non acidic fruit ladybugs will eat.

Ladybugs will eat non acidic fruits and raisins that's what I would feed them with. I don't know where to tell you to get aphids at because we work on getting rid of aphids off of our plants.

Spray some water with heavily diluted local honey. The source of food will keep them there until you decide to relocate.

They live a little under a year from egg to death, but you can always hold onto some eggs and let the cycle continue

well i breed mealworms and superworms and i can keep them alive for a long time as long as i let them breed and lay eggs and keep the cycle continueing you might be able to raise ladybugs and feed them and get them to lay eggs and continue there cycle over and over again but you would have to clean there enclosure every now and then and ladybugs eat small insects they are predators actually so they might not eat random foods that you give them

Yes, ladybugs do eat apple slices. It's a great alternative source of food for them.
