Add a piece of tin under the cage, that slopes from back to front, so dropping slide to the front for easier cleaning. This will also allow you to store food and hay underneath without contamination. Tape a pattern (like Damask Stripes) in the glass and use sandpaper to create a pattern.

Add a piece of plywood to each end of the cage. That way your rabbits can have a space where they can be off the wire. That will help them from getting sore hocks from the pressure of being on wire. Also it will give you a place to put their nest boxes and a ceramic tile during the summer to help them stay cool.

Yes, we added some plywood and two "boxes" for them.

I want to thank you for your all inspirational videos. I started to follow you when you were in Italy. I love Italy and I have been there several times myself in the past. I am from Scandinavia but now living in the US since 2010. I am having a small garden and I cannot wait until spring will arrive here soon so I can get started. My garden is everything for me as a way to connect to nature and it reduces stress. You guys are wonderful and I look forward to your next video.

You’ve done a great job, as always, on that rabbit hotel. I haven’t made a comment in a while, but I’m continuing to watch, with interest. Take care! And have some fun! ❤️

Love the rabbit cage. Looks great! The rabbits will be much happier there. I usually put in something for them to sit on to get off the wire for awhile to lessen probability of sores. But if your leaving hay in that would work too.

Yes, we placed a piece of plywood on one end of the cage for them to lay on.

Nice size cages. Bunny math : 3 rabbits = 9 cages, so you have a few to go. And it is not a given that your does will still love eachother after the seperation for having kits or when they come back smelling of the buck. So have extra cages so they can all at least have their own place before you start breeding. 2 More things : bunny's chew and the back of the cage is unprotected and just like chickens, everything loves bunny and the back of that cage is unprotected in the sense that there is room between the back wall of the shed and the cage frame. I would add wiremesh there also.
