Unboxing, Setting Up and Testing The NEW UJK Portable Trim Router Table!
This is a sturdy, compact, accurate and small bench top router table perfect for anyone! It's small enough to be put in a cupboard for a home DIYer, easy to use for a beginner or hobbiest woodworker, light for traveling to the jobsite and heavy duty for a secondary router table in a larger workshop. In this video I build the router table and test it out!

--------------------------------------------------
The UJK Portable Trim Router Table is specifically designed for use with the increasingly popular 1/4" palm type routers. This table and fence offers you all the accuracy and versatility of a large full size router table, but on a smaller scale; providing a portable, benchtop format.
The table top is made from 20mm thick phenolic board, an extremely stable, durable and strong material. The table top is 400mm wide x 300mm. The aperture in the table is 40mm diameter. The top features a machined T-slot for a mitre fence etc. The slot is fully compatible with UJK M6 or M8 T-slot bolts.
The 400mm x 55mm tall fence is adjustable front to back. The aperture in the fence is 50mm x 28mm high. The fence also has a machined T-slot for mounting stops etc. The fence includes a safety shield and the extraction outlet has a slight taper, which ensures a good fit for hoses or adaptors from different brands of extractor.
On the base; the front rail has three 20mm dog holes for attaching the table to a multifunction workbench using bench dogs. The front rail is designed to allow the use of F or G clamps for attaching the table to a worktop or bench. The back rail features five 1/4" holes for cutter storage.

Nice router table with some well thought out details! That's pretty solid and a great option for smaller trim routers. There's definitely a market for a high quality table like this, as a lot of the tables sold here in the USA are just overpriced MDF. I used to have a Porter Cable router table which was complete garbage - you could never get the fence straight and adjustments were a pain. Ended up making my own router table and fence instead.

Thanks for watching Erik. I agree, my old one was made from plastic, it had three legs and was very inaccurate. This one is a big improvement. See you in the next video 👌🏻

I remember the old Porter-Cable benchtop Router Table, those are as antiquated as an old Craftsman benchtop model. Even Norm Abram stopped using the old PC design when he built his big Router Station. Porter-Cable made 1st rate Routers though for many years.

@@batarang87 I used to have the old PC690 router, which was the standard router for years. Still worked when I replaced it with a Bosch 1617 last year.

@Erik_The_Viking I would've kept the 690 and used it in conjunction with the 1617, there's many benefits to having more than one Router

E @@SeanEvelegh Thanks Sean. It certainly looks better than my rarely used model which was bought years ago for next to nothing from a discount store. It has so much crude power that it decides what it does , not you !

Really nice router table and probably just right for me as a beginner. However glad I was sat down when I clicked on the link, it's rather expensive but then I suppose you get the quality you pay for?

Hey Mate, yes it's a perfect beginner router table. It is more expensive that others, however you're right, you do get what you pay for. The materials used and build quality beats the competition.

Hi Sean, it's been a month now and I was wondering how you're getting on with the table and how much use it's getting compared to your floor standing table? I'm seriously thinking about purchasing it in the next few weeks so seeing if it's useful for not just smaller fiddly pieces and still able to cope with average things the trim router is for?

@@anonymouspdg6121 Hi mate. Honestly I'm surprised with how much I use it. I used the chamfer bit a lot, so I have that permanently set up on the table. So much quick to set up than my big machine, so I just whip it out for small tasks. You'll notice me use it in my latest build video, and infact my next build video I use it alot in that.
