Ive built plenty cars in my home garage including 3 evos just like this and theyre all still running tops. Just torque everything to spec, good tune and if the engine didnt overheat ya aint gotta resurface it. My father owns a machine shop we check heads and blocks everyday its rare that they warp unless they overheated, its just a customer preference which most do since its apart but not 100% needed. That motor will make a reliable 500 with what ya got, powerband is up top so wont be to much stress on the engine. Cant wait ta see it rippin!

you dont need to wear gloves when handling 625's. the L19's are the ones that dont like oily residue and contaminents. 12:20 if you dont give that puppers head scritches pronto!!! haha. Hey man, big fan - you're a great inspiration to us eclipse owners so please don't take this the wrong way, but I feel like you could/should have done more while you were at it... I undestand budget, I'm dealing with the same situation as I write this, but it costs nothing to measure clearances and stuff when you are putting an engine together AND in the end it might even save you money. I hope you guys at least checked how the valves seal off-camera. That's just my 2 cents. Good luck with the build, great shots as always🫡🔥

No its a cleaner you spray it on and let it sit and it deep cleans it and gives the aluminum a brighter look

Those aren’t 625ca or l19 which are the ones you have to wear gloves with. Those are both silver almost look like stainless steel. The ones you installed are black which are probably arp2000s

The worst part is the cost of what a new motor is gonna cost if you throw a rod pushing the limits of the stock motor 😢😢 but good content man! Keep it coming.
@MrPrince228911 ай бұрын
This comment 100% he thinks the machine work is expensive now. If that motor lets go, it's gonna be 3 to 4x as much. I understand he doesn't have the money. Maybe just keep saving,do it once and do it right. Hope it works out for the best for him. I'm not trying to seem negative, I just know from this happening to me.
@pFbSpecV11 ай бұрын
@@MrPrince2289 yea I tried saying it in different ways on his other videos cuz I do like Miguel and he does help me sell my grounding kits so I for sure don’t mean to be negative also but dang….. these motors aren’t cheap when you completely need a block to rebuild lol
@MrPrince228911 ай бұрын
@pFbSpecV yeah sometimes you just gotta learn from experience. I got the same advice I'm giving now and I did the same thing he did. Said I don't have enough money, I'll do this and that and it should be okay. We all think "yeah it won't happen to me I'll be okay" then it happens. Funny thing is might pull when my engine let go I had a flashback of everything everyone was tell me, then I came back to reality lol
@lespaulguitarist9211 ай бұрын
@@pFbSpecV miguel’s evo will be safe with a tune that limits its true potential.. but the results is: miguel’s evo will be slow for the turbo and upgrades he has because of that. Dealing with a laggy turbo that doesn’t make the HP to compensate for the lagginess.

@ELROYJETSWAG11 ай бұрын
its 400 grit do you not pay attention? you can sand it for a year straight it wont make a difference. That grit is used to prep cars before laying basecoat, it will leave a smooth finish with no gouging or gashing
