I put bearing grease inside the cap threads before I would tighten them. Helps with water,rust and makes the caps go on a lil easier.

The two red knock-off adapter goes on the right side/ passenger side. And the two white knock-off adapter goes on the left side/ driver side. It is also stamped on the adapter's left side and right side. As well on the bullet style spinner. Also, put a little bit of anti-seize on the threads of each adapter

I was reading thru comments to see if anyone else noticed that one white an one red on drivers side
@mirabalmedia2 жыл бұрын
@@souljahsent1219 yes, I saw in the video he had the red adapter on the left side/ driver side. But later in the video when he was tightening the bullet. I saw that he was knocking the bullet wrench the right way.

A little anti seize on the treads, if they rust they will be hard to get off with no anti seize. I try to get my knock offs pretty tight while the car is up, so your not fighting the weight of the car when tight the wheels. Then after i put the car down , wack them again, take it for a ride, and check them again, I’ve known many who have lost a wheel.

Just found your channel dude, so far I love it. This Monte Carlo gets slept on and I don't know why. I grew up in a bard part of town in the 90's and used to see all manner of G bodies on hydros and these rims. One dude had a purple Riviera with the white quarter vinyl roof. Another guy I knew had a slammed Hardbody Nissan truck with similar rims. So this build really brungs back memories. Keep it up.

When I did my training day replica, I used the compete sun roof setup from a 2002 cadillac Deville. The whole tray unbolts from the car, don't forget to use the drain tubes. It's a perfect fit in the gbody. Mark my works it is literally the only sunroof setup that works perfectly and allows the glass to slide into the roof. Not that pop up sunroof bullshit. Also, the red adapters for the wheels go on the passenger side. White on the left. Or your wheels are gonna fly off when you're driving. Amd good luck with any body parts for those cars. They are a bitch to find.

man, it’s so awesome how excited you are building your first lowrider… i was getting worried you were going to leave the red adapter on the left side, but you got her fixed up… and typically you want some never seize on the threads, also after a couple blocks of driving around, recheck your knock offs… looking forward to this build being finished, super excited for you bro…

Thank you. I got a couple comments about the red on the driverside lol. Some people think they see all 50 hours of a work week in a 15 min video. Im not going too crazy tightening them down just yet because they will come back off for paint, but the anti seize is a good tip, thank you!

I'm curious about the front wheels not being centered in the wheelwell? Looking good! Just an FYI you can get hydraulics to ride nice on a lay n play system. Just slap some shocks and accumulators on nothing beats the sounds of hydraulics in your lowrider. Edit I always use a Terry cloth between the tool and knock off and always hammer the wheels on while it's jacked up. No reverse burn outs!

Even though I had reinforced frame still messed up. I also had 15x7 reverse 100 spoke on my 78 Caprice gloss black at that but also know the problem finding body parts, lenses, weather stripping, ect I have been contemplating bags really would love B,O,S in front & regular bags in back!
